Charlie coldly retorted, “That’s absurd! If you don't let me in, how can I ensure my friend's safety?”

The nun respectfully replied, “As nuns, we are compassionate and would never harm others. Please rest assured, Sir.”

As Charlie was about to refuse, Vera pulled his arm to whisper softly, “Darling, wait for me here for a moment. I'll be right back.”
