Homer's seemingly casual sentence struck Nathaniel like a bolt from the blue.
In the whole of the United States, there was no Oskian Chamber of Commerce that had a major family such as the Foxes as their member.
The Fox family's assets alone were greater than the combined assets of all the association members. Obviously, the Fox family wouldn't care to rub shoulders with them.
The difference was akin to a billionaire who couldn't join a millionaire club with per capita assets of only one or two million.
Yet, Homer had taken the initiative to come here and claim that he would join the New York Oskian Chamber of Commerce.
Nathaniel was naturally thrilled beyond measure.
He replied respectfully, "Young Master Fox, what sort of collaboration do you have in mind? Please, rest assured As long as you say the word, the entire New York Oskian Chamber of Commerce will definitely give our full support!"
Homer nodded, smiling. “I want to do some charity work with you."
"Charity?" Nathaniel was surprised. "What kind of charity, Young Master Fox? How do you need us to help?"
Homer said with a serious expression, "I want to set up a relief fund for Oskian orphans in North America. I want to put in a sum of money specifically to support and provide them with better assistance. I want to ensure a better life and education for them." "Oh!" Nathaniel exclaimed, pleased. "You are doing a great deed of infinite merit, Young Master Fox! There aren't many Oskian orphans in North America. Their predicament is actually much more difficult compared to that of the orphans in Oskia itself. If a charity fund is established for them, it'll definitely be of great help for them!"
Nathaniel asked again, "Young Master Fox, how do you need us to collaborate with you?"
Eager, he asked, “Young Master Fox, when are you planning to hold this charity dinner?"
Homer replied, "I’m currently planning to hold it on the eleventh. The venue will be The Palace Hotel's banquet hall. Chairman Luke, you’ll have to work hard to arrange for some manpower for the charity dinner
preparations. You can treat this as a joint venture between us."
The Palace Hotel was an Oskian-style five-star hotel belonging to the Fox family.
There were more than three hundred of these Oskian-style five-star hotels in many countries around the globe. Most had developed rapidly over the years, and The Palace Hotel went on to become the most well-known Oskian hotel brand in the world.
