If unremarkable young women disappeared, at most, it would spark only a little attention in a small local community. The news might not even be broadcasted o n a city-level media. Thus, the risks were non-existent and it was much safer for Finley.
That wasn’t the case for someone as renowned as Quinn Golding. News of her disappearance would shake the entire globe.
If the resulting investigation revealed his tracks, wouldn't it be disastrous for him?
Thinking of this, he hurriedly said, "Young Master Fox, I must be honest with you.
You're already twenty-seven years old this year, and you’re of a marriageable age. If you really fancy Quinn Golding, you can definitely pursue her and find a way to marry her...”
Homer snapped disdainfully, "Do you think that's easy? She's been claiming that she’s looking for her prince charming for years! She says she won't marry anyone but him. Even if I were to pursue her, it’s unlikely for her to accept me. Why should I bother?
Why not just kidnap her?"
Homer then added, "Besides that, I don’t have any plans to get married. That’s far too boring. How can I be as free and unrestrained as I am right now after getting married? I don't want to have to give up the entire forest for just one tree."
Finley stammered, “But... Umm, well... You still have to get married sooner or later..."
Homer snarled impatiently, "That's a matter for the future, so let’s talk about it later. By the way, aren't you in the middle o f developing your island? Just bring her there when the time comes. I can just get rid of her after I've had enough fun with her. I can just stuff her corpse into the incinerator and then scatter her ashes into the sea. No one would find out what we did, right?”
Finley's back was drenched wet with cold sweat. A feeling of uneasiness crept up to him, and he suddenly didn’t know how to respond to Homer.
By now, Homer had taken notice of Finley's silence. He immediately became cold as he barked, "Finley, what’s the meaning of this? Why are you asking so much? You don't want to do it for me, right? If you're so hesitant, I'll get someone else to do it for m e then!"
"It's been set!" Homer grinned maliciously." Ten more days!"
He then added, "It's definitely impossible for her to bring so many bodyguards from Oskia to the United States. She'll probably cooperate with a security company in the United States in advance, and have the American security company provide her with the personnel, vehicles and other equipment necessary for her protection."
"You should pay close attention to which security company she's cooperating with i n advance. Get the specific list of the security personnel. After that, choose a suitable lackey to be the middleman and get him in on our side. Let him cooperate with us. All you need to do after that is find a suitable time to kidnap Quinn Golding. As long as no evidence is left behind, this matter's considered done!”
Finley said awkwardly, "Young Master Fox ... It's very difficult to kidnap her when she's guarded by a whole security team. The slightest mistake can lead to failure..."
Homer laughed, the sound wild and raucous. "Then we’ll see how good you are, won't we? One's value can only be determined based on the difficulty of the task. I've helped you in your business all these years. Now that my position in the Fox family has risen, I can offer you better assistance. It’s time for you to repay all the good I've done for you, Finley!”
