Kathleen knew Charlie wouldn't turn a blind eye on her anymore, particularly after he gave his men the instructions. She hurriedly followed them and rushed to the first floor.
The VIP room on the first floor was very close to the auction hall.
Jarvis carried the dying Jordan into the room. The staff led Kathleen in as well.
Kathleen couldn't be bothered about her keeping her double identity a secret anymore. As soon as she went into the room, she rushed to Jordan's side and asked worriedly, "Grandpa... Grandpa, wake up. Grandpa... I'm Kathleen. Can you hear m e?"
Jarvis sighed sadly. "Miss Kathleen, Lord Fox’s breathing has grown weaker. I'm afraid... I'm afraid he won’t make it..."
Kathleen's tears came rolling down her cheeks at that instant. She choked and cried, "It won’t be... Mr. Wade won’t let Grandpa die so easily... He must have a way ... I'm sure he must have..."
Jarvis sighed again. "Indeed, the Rejuvenating Pill can cure him and bring him back to life. Unfortunately, Lord Fox... can't afford it...”
Kathleen knew that very well. After the call, she predicted that her uncle had removed Grandpa from his power and snatched her Grandpa's position with force. With her uncle's ruthless way of doing things, he would never give Grandpa a chance to fight back.
How could Grandpa afford to buy a Rejuvenating Pill under such
circumstances?
Besides, Kathleen was unsure if Charlie would use the Rejuvenating Pill to save her grandfather.
After all, the price to purchase the Rejuvenating Pill was astronomical.
Charlie might have owed her a little favor before, but that would not suffice.
While she was hung up in her thoughts, flustered and unsure of what to do, someone opened the door to the VIP room and a tall figure strode in.
Charlie wanted to say something, but was interrupted by a Ten Thousand Armies soldier who had just come in. The soldier walked to Charlie's side and informed in a low whisper, "Old Master Lennard wants to meet you."
Charlie nodded. "Please hurry and let him n."
Then, the soldier invited Chandler Lennard in.
Chandler's face was full of worry. Charlie greeted him and asked respectfully,"
Master Lennard, what's the matter? Why did you come here?"
Chandler quickly explained, "I saw Jordan vomited blood and fainted, and got worried."
He then turned to look at Jordan, studying the latter’s pale face. Jordan was dying, and had little time left. Chandler forced himself to plead to Charlie, "Mr. Wade, can you help Jordan?"
