Luna awoke the next morning and was ready to head out with Lucian. The went to her house to get packed. She really looked forward to meeting other wolves and seeing the one responsible for her growing up without parents put to judgement. When she got to her house, her mother and Stepfather well, adopted parents were seated at the dining table. It was as if they never moved.
She greeted them and went up to pack a bag. When she came downstairs, she explained that she was going on a trip with Lucian to meet family.
They couldn’t do anything to stop her considering Lucian was her family and had documented proof that he should have been her legal guardian. Luna thanked them for taking care of her all her life and assured them that she did not hate them but that she needed to learn about herself and that could only be done by getting to know more people like her. She couldn’t tell them that she was a ware wolf since they were quite human and had attributed the things happening to her as low self- esteem and somnambulism.
With that she hugged her so called mom and waved goodbye to them. She left with Lucian and within a matter of hours they came to a wooded area with huge pine trees and a few miles in they came upon a PRIVATE PROPERTY sign.
Luna’s mother looked at Lucian as he walked away with Luna and smiled to herself. She knew that he would be trouble for her but she never thought that she would stand to lose Luna to him at this point. She still needed Luna and she would get her back. She was the key to her plan after all. She was so tired of pretending but she just needed to hold on for a moment longer till her plan unfolds. She just wanted to put an end to all this drama. She was now living with a man whom she had to pretend to love in a world that she never wanted to be a part of. But in spite of those limitations and disappointments she was flawless in her role play. She’d be dammed if she let some wolf get the best of her. She would destroy them before she let them win.
“This was your grandma. She was a force. He pointed to a picture that she recognized too well. It was the only one that she could associate with. It was a picture of her mom and dad holding her as a baby. She knew because the baby was white haired and the woman felt familiar. “This was my mom? This is our family?” this was more than she expected. She had started to feel so many feelings at once. It was overwhelming. Luna began to shift and this time it happened so quickly.
Luna was a great white wolf in the middle of her family home. Lucian looked at her and gave her a hug as he sensed her pain. “It’s ok. It’s ok sweetheart I know this is a lot but you are strong and you will get through this. We will get through this together.
