THE LYCAN KING’S SECOND CHANCE MATE novel Chapter 370

“My Lord.” Leonard addresses him, bowing his head slightly. I don't bother to do the same. I keep my head up, staring right at him like he has lost her mind, because clearly he has.

What the hell is he doing here?

“I’ll take it from here, Leonard.” Says Alpha Reagan in a very dry tone and a hoarse voice. Leonard turns and flashes me a pained smile that shatters my heart into a million pieces.

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” He says calmly and walks past me to his car. I watch with anger burning in my chest as he gets into the car and drives away. When I turn back to Alpha Reagan, I'm fuming and ready to explode into flames before him.

“You must feel very powerful right now.”

“Of course I do. I’m in your presence. Your presence makes me feel powerful.” I roll my eyes so hard, they nearly get stuck at the back of my head.

“Did you wait here the whole time?” My expression has turned granite as I ask him that question.

“Me?” He points to himself and huffs. “Wait here the whole time?” His gaze drops to the floor as he shakes his head and scoffs in derision. When he looks back at me, he has a very serious expression as he says. “Yes.”

I'm completely thrown off guard.

“Yes as in, you've been waiting here the whole time?”

I am shaken!

“I know it makes me look pathetic, but yes. I've been here since the moment you drove away with Leonard, waiting for you.”

My mind has been thrown into a state of confusion and chaos. I look left and right, breathing hard and trying to come up with something to say.

That's…

That's mad.

That's crazy.

That's unheard off.

“That's just creepy and unacceptable!” I lash out, breathing hard.

“No it isn't. I waited. I didn't stalk you. Stalking is crazy.”

My brows crease as my gaze on him intensifies.

“Reagan.” I call, sternly. “Don't even think about showing up at the hall or anywhere around that premises.”

“I won't. We'll meet here.”

“Don't come here either.”

“I'm begging.” I roll my eyes yet again.

“Whatever.” I say and walk past him, heading for the door.

“I like it when you call me Reagan. It sounds very sexy.” He says out loud. I don't stop or turn to look at him, I keep walking, but I bet he knows I'm smiling from molar to molar because he says… “I'm glad I was able to make you smile. Sweet dreams, my love.”

My heart melts like butter in a microwave.

This man will be the end of me!
