“Thank you very much for the information Doctor Henry,” I tell the doctor over the phone and hang up. I calmly drop the phone on the table before me and lean against the backrest of the chair I'm seated on, eyes closed and my fingers massaging my forehead as I sigh heavily.

Alina.

Alina. Alina. Alina.

She did take me for a fool, didn't she?

I don't know where she gets her audacity from, but this is too much and I'm not going to spare her this time around.

A knock on the door makes me snap my eyes open. “Thank you, Alpha.” She does as told and follows Kyle's footsteps. Soon, the two mates are seated before me and a wave of envy and regret washes through me when I notice how happy and peaceful their relationship is.
