The Lycan King and his Dark Temptation novel Chapter 358

NARRATOR

“DONG, DONG, DONG!”

Powerful sounds began to roll through the air, sending waves out as if a giant bell were being tolled.

That signal rang across all the discovered continents, now interlaced by family alliances.

Suddenly, in different places, the landscape changed.

Reality warped as if torn by invisible giant hands.

Trees swayed hard under the magical gusts that made everything vibrate in their wake.

Portals opened and led to the same place: the castle of the Lycan King and the Selenia Queen.

Beyond the veil, the moon shimmered on the lake, the mountain crowned at its peak by the breathtaking castle of dark rock, flags dancing in the breeze.

In their mates’ swamp, Fenrir and Magnus exchanged a determined look.

They wore matching long, tailored black tunics.

Fenrir’s had beautiful red embroidery, and Magnus’s, white-silver.

Their hair was slicked back, irresistibly sexy and masculine.

They flexed their arms, ready to step through the portal with the woman who brought them into the world and would now place them in their partners’ care.

“Mama, you’re still very beautiful… but now you come after Abigail, sorry,” Fenrir couldn’t help dropping one of his pearls as he bent to kiss Valeria’s cheek.

“I knew one day you’d leave me for another woman, you treacherous sons,” Valeria teased them a little more.

“Mom, you’re the best,” Magnus also kissed her at the temple.

Between her two giants, she almost disappeared in the middle.

But a Selenia’s light is impossible to dim.

She was dressed in black too, like all the women of her race.

Lace sleeves stretched to her wrists and circled her neck with delicate adornments.

The long skirt fell into a modest train, sprinkled with golden pearls.

Her hair was up and her makeup simple.

Valeria was beautiful, and today she would write another chapter of her story.

As she crossed the passage, leading her sons to the altar, she felt proud and very blessed.

She listened to the strong heartbeats in both their chests, and all their family waited beyond.

Other grooms were stepping through the veil toward their big night as well.

On the mirrored surface of the frozen lake, hundreds of white chairs were decorated with satin ribbons and beautiful flowers.

But what stood out most was the white platform in the middle, the ceremonial altar.

It seemed to float over the current moving beneath the thin, transparent sheet.

“Everything is going to be fine, Daddy’s here,” he murmured, repeating the words he’d always told them since he began accompanying them.

Just as he had always taken their little hands to guide them safely through life, he squeezed with confidence the delicate hands of the two incredible women he had raised.

“Daddy…” Lyra’s honeyed voice came out strangled, holding back the tears that threatened to spill at any moment.

The silver dress hugged her figure and flowed into a long train.

Her white hair blended with the tulle and the exquisite lace adornments.

Lyra looked at him full of love and saw Silas lean down to kiss her forehead.

“Ly, you know I’ll always be there. You only have to call, and Daddy will protect you from the monsters.”

“I know…” Lyra closed her eyes, wet lashes trembling as she received her beloved father’s blessing.

To others, Silas might be the worst monster of all, but to them, he was always their greatest hero.

Then Silas turned to look at his Selenia, who kept her head lowered.

A rare smile tugged at the corner of the male’s mouth.

Lyra had always been the expressive one, unafraid to show everything she carried in her heart, but Nyx was always the reserved one.

She showed more with actions than with what she called “her sister’s corny stuff.”

“Nyx…” Silas called her, voice rough, a knot tightening his throat.

Before he could tell her how much he loved her, the warm arms of his black-haired girl wrapped around him.
