NARRATOR
“Fucking toxic father-in-law,” Drakomir pinched the bridge of his nose.
“At least let me wash my balls, yeah?” he shot back, blunt as ever.
If anything, he was going to enjoy today.
He couldn’t wait to see the face of that snobby prince when he found out they’d taken things all the way.
“You’d better shut up and hurry, because if I keep imagining where those disgusting things have been, I might just cut them off.”
“And go without grandkids? I don’t think so… Dad-in-law.”
Sliding into the hot water, the bastard’s grin widened across Drakomir’s mouth.
Strange that Zarek would ask him for help.
His curiosity was already itching, and he soon learned what his mission was.
Lie to Rousse and get him away with the excuse of a fake mission.
Drakomir was going to object, of course. As always, he was going to screw up all his plans.
He also didn’t want to be away from Victoria for a few days, but when he heard the reason, he decided to play along.
Meridiana was special to all of them. She and Rousse deserved the blessing that was about to come their way.
Even so, things were still up in the air… it wasn’t certain Zarek’s experiments would always work.

“Are you ready?”
The prince’s voice carried through the space of cold walls, saturated with a strong smell of disinfectants.
The beautiful, delicate woman on the gurney nodded slowly.
“Meridiana, easy… remember I’m not just a vampire. I carry the blood of the first Selenias,” he squeezed her shoulder as he felt her erratic heartbeat.
She was nervous, and understandably so.
“I trust you… I trust all of you…” the little sorceress added.
The hand resting on the hard surface was being held by Victoria, who had decided to accompany her father.
This was a section of Zarek’s inner world.
It looked like a small room of white tiles with cold lights floating in the air.
The place smelled like metal, impersonal and even oppressive.
The entire fortress had been sealed by Lavinia and Laziel to prevent any disturbance.
Everything had to go perfectly; nothing could fail, or the surprise for Rousse would turn into tragedy.
Celine paced back and forth in her room, caressing her belly to soothe her anxiety for news.
Lyra kept watch from a chair, trying to read a book she couldn’t get past the first page of.
Her Drakkar had also left to fool Rousse about the severity of the mission.
Her she-wolf was always drooling over her wolf. A shameless thing, willing to do anything to seduce him.
“Well… your feet are still swollen,” Vincent said anxiously, looking at the little feet tucked into comfy booties and then back at the several-months belly already showing on his female.
“It’s normal, stop frowning,” Amber smiled, smoothing the crease on his forehead with her finger before straightening up to kiss his cheek.
Her other hand held some beautiful flowers they were going to dedicate to an old friend and family.
However, as they reached the top of the moonlit hill, Vincent stopped a few meters away from a solitary figure.
Amber followed his gaze to a small woman with light hair, her back to them.
“Who is she?” Amber didn’t recognize her, but it was far too strange for anyone outside the family to visit Isabella’s grave.
“Amber, don’t get distracted, she’s a sorceress. There could be danger.” Vincent tensed.
With his pregnant female, his protective instincts were cranked to a thousand percent.
He went to take a step back; he preferred to leave.
Deep down, sorcerers and werewolves didn’t get along much on this continent.
But in an instant, the woman turned and stared straight at them.
“Lisa…?” Amber murmured, squirming to climb anxiously down from her mate’s arms.
She didn’t know that face, but those emerald pupils, full of life and light—she’d recognize them anywhere.
“Wait, Amber… she isn’t Lisa…”
