The Lycan King and his Dark Temptation novel Chapter 352

NARRATOR

Walking back to the mysterious cave, the thundering steps of a huge lycan echoed as he carried a lazy lioness in his arms.

“Tell me, which way is your home?”

Zeraphina tensed at Theron’s sudden question.

Had he changed his mind about taking her with him?

“Weren’t you playing the tyrant a few hours ago, saying you were going to kidnap me?” her low voice came out more uneasy than she meant.

Theron realized it had actually been very easy to convince her.

Does Zera not want to go back?

“I’m not that irrational of a male, and I genuinely want what’s best for you, Zera. I’m going to meet your parents and your family to ask for your hand.”

He stated his intentions honorably.

The lioness’s head stayed tucked against his shoulder, and Zeraphina didn’t speak for a few seconds.

“My parents died a few years ago in a skirmish between the tribes, and I was left alone… I have no home to return to,” she said, half lie and half truth.

She would only miss her personal guard, those brave lioness warriors, but they would go on with their lives whether she was there or not.

“I’m sorry about your parents.” Theron hugged her even tighter against his broad lycan chest.

He lowered his muzzle and brushed it over his lioness’s, comforting her as he felt her sadness.

“It happened a while ago. I’ll only go back on their anniversary to pay them tribute,” she said softly, already thinking of how to slip away to see the tomb of the former kings.

Though honestly, if anyone saw her in the future, it wouldn’t be such a big deal. No one would ever force her to do what she didn’t want again.

“My family is a little wild—more so the in-laws—but they’re good people, and they’re going to love you too,” Theron assured her as they reached the cave site.

Zera’s delicious lick on his neck made his chest rumble low with satisfaction.

He couldn’t wait to introduce her to everyone and mark her permanently.

“Are we in the right place?” Zeraphina’s question was the same one Theron was asking himself.

A thick layer of ferns and vibrant plants had grown over the hole.

Like a beautiful garden that had sprung up out of nowhere.

“Yes, look at the entrance covered in vines. I’m sure from the trail, and I can also smell my sister. This is it,” Theron said, moving toward the edge.

He thought about going back through the cave tunnel Zera had escaped from, but it was far too narrow and tight.

She introduced herself kindly.

“My name is Zeraphina and I… I’m the one who feels blessed,” the predator’s eyes drifted, unable to help it, to the wolfish ones devouring her.

She didn’t even notice she was announcing her real name to everyone, without knowing whether someone would recognize her as the lioness queen.

Stealth wasn’t her strong suit, especially when she was thinking only with her heart.

Lavinia’s mouth twitched a little as she watched them sink back into their rainbow world.

Look how fast and hard the stubborn powerful ones fall.

Theron, who just yesterday didn’t get the obsession lycan males have with covering their females, was now keeping his turned into a beast so no one would see Zeraphina’s curves.

“I’ll take you back home. Mom and Dad will be thrilled to learn someone showed up who can melt the eldest son’s bitterness.”

Lavinia said it half jokingly and turned to summon her portal.

Theron and Zeraphina took the chance to look around at the incredible changes in this place.

It was obvious the curse had been lifted; they’d ask for details later.

While Zeraphina’s feline eyes watched the vortex spin without stopping, her heart began to tighten with a bit of nerves.
