The Lycan King and his Dark Temptation novel Chapter 169

NARRATOR

The vampiric persona of Celine moved forward eagerly, leaning over the prince’s body as he welcomed her with open arms, cradling her against his chest.

Their mouths merged sensually, tongues caressing, exploring beyond their lips, intertwining and exchanging their passion with half-closed eyes lost in pleasure.

Zarek gripped her waist, pulling her to straddle his lap, threading his fingers through her soft hair and pushing her head forward to deepen the kiss, to drown himself in the ocean of her lips.

They touched each other's heated skin, filling the darkness with wet and lascivious sounds, moans escaping Camilla's lips as her mate's fangs grazed delicately along her jawline, licking her neck with lust.

His strong, masculine hands gripped her hips, forcing her to grind against him, the friction between their clothes driving them insane.

Zarek’s hard, throbbing member pulsed hot between her parted thighs, sending a delicious shiver to her wet core.

She wanted him inside her, to claim her and make her his woman. She craved it madly, feeling freer than ever before—never had she desired her freedom more than when she met him.

Merkall’s control spell over Celine had worked more effectively due to the constant war within her body; if the three of them had worked together, it wouldn’t have been so easy to dominate her.

“Mmm, Camilla, darling, wait…”

Zarek had to summon the last shred of self-control he had to stop himself from lifting her skirt and plunging into that rose-petal cunt that had his fangs on edge.

“Love, wait… mmm, wait, little one…” he gasped, breathing against her lips as he grabbed her small hands to stop her from caressing his body any further.

“Don’t you like it? I’ve never touched anyone before, I don’t know…”

"Thank the damn Goddess for that," Zarek thought, gritting his teeth, because if his mate had been more "experienced," he'd already be buried inside her to the hilt.

“Camilla, you know that’s not it, love. I’m dying to bond with your souls, to mark you, but you know it can't be this way.”

Zarek pressed his forehead against hers and smiled tenderly at the pout forming on her sensual lips—lips he longed to have sucking a certain erect part of his body.

“She hates me; they’ll try to lock me away again, she’s never wanted me.” She lowered her head like a wronged child, complaining to an adult.

Zarek sighed, kissing the top of her head with love, holding her close.

He needed to talk to Celine—this was hurting them too much.

He understood her reasons, he had seen them in the sea of her memories, but punishing Camilla was punishing herself.

She was seeking a solution to a curse she had imposed on herself by rejecting part of her being.

“Everything will be fine, okay? You're not alone anymore, none of you are, not ever again. I’ll be the bridge that unites you. Now go to sleep, be good, let Celine come back…”

“What if she doesn’t let me see you again?” Camilla’s red eyes glistened with tears.

She was so strong—Zarek could feel the power roaring through her veins—yet she was so afraid of Celine and Mia.

“She will. Trust me,” he whispered, caressing her beautiful face before lowering his head to give her a soft kiss, licking her lower lip, sucking it gently, and teasing it between his fangs until he heard her breathless moans.

“Go, little one. Next time we meet, I’ll teach you how to touch me, the way I like you to drive me crazy,” he murmured, promising her a scorching future.

Camilla gazed at him intensely, the heart she shared with Celine beating with love and fear.

She didn’t want to leave, afraid she wouldn’t be free again, but she trusted her mate—he would mend the relationship between them.

Zarek knew the exact moment the woman resting her head against his chest had become Alpha Celine.

Her fears and insecurities, her stubborn and unyielding nature, hit him like a whirlwind.

" There’s nothing wrong with you, my love. Every last strand of your hair is perfect to me, Celine. Enough of fighting, enough, my life. Make peace with your powers. Camilla isn’t to blame; she was just a child, just like you, and you’ve repressed her because of your own fears" Zarek held her tightly in his arms.

" I will never hurt you, my love. I will never force you like that bastard did to your mother. I’d rather die the worst of deaths before doing that"

It tore at his soul to see her so vulnerable, to understand just how broken she was inside, always pretending and acting like everything was fine.

Sobs echoed through the dark cell as Celine clung to the warm chest of her mate, who let her cry, whispering words of love and strength into her ear, caressing her back, and wanting to merge her with his very soul.

After an unknown amount of time, Zarek fixed his intense gaze on the exhausted woman resting on him.

He kissed away her tears and brushed the damp hair from her forehead.

He stood up, carrying her protectively, and left the cold dungeons, walking through the corridors of the castle that had been his home for millennia.

Wherever he walked, everything changed, reverting to its former grandeur.

He was heading to his chambers, in a wing of the castle that no previous monarch had ever dared to invade.

Celine and her powers needed rest and recovery; Mia had taken the worst of the spell, shielding Celine’s mind from every merciless compulsion that damned sorcerer inflicted on her brain.

As they passed the massive floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the outer gardens, Zarek couldn’t help but stop for a second and look at the sky, where the storm clouds were beginning to clear, revealing the silver rays of the moon.

"I don’t believe in any of your good intentions" he murmured, a cruel smile adorning his sharp lips.

"You must be plotting something to create such a perfect gift for me. What do you want in return, you damn Goddess?"

He muttered with hatred, holding Celine tighter, afraid she would be taken from him the very next second.

"Not this time. Even if I have to raze this rotten land once again, I won’t let you take my beloved from me ever again"
