The Lies He Told Me (Grace and Antonio) novel Chapter 296

Chapter296

The private jet landed on a tiny island with nice weather.

This place belonged to Antonio.

Everything was arranged to Michelle's taste now.

In the afternoon, while fishing with Michelle, Antonio was scrolling through his phone when he came across a breaking news alert from Wigocia.

There was a fire down at Oakwood Villas, one of those villas that went up in smoke.

It was the dead of night, and by the time the fire trucks rolled up, the place was nothing but a charred mess.

The blaze was a beast, too fierce to get close to, and they didn't find any bodies.

The cops combed through the security footage and didn't spot anyone making a break for it.

From what they could tell, the person in the villa likely didn't make it.

Antonio's thumb slid over the screen, and for a beat, he was somewhere else.

"Hey, Antonio, smile," Michelle said cheerfully, moving in close with her selfie stick poised for the shot.

A whisper of jasmine hit Antonio, and he draped an arm around Michelle, grinning for the camera.
