The Lady Nun Seeks Justice (Eliza Stonor) novel Chapter 612

612.Chapter 612

Since Nolan had already handled the questioning thoroughly, Eliza decided not to visit the secret chamber that day.

She wasn’t in the mood to deal with Rafe’s face right now.

Even if it wasn’t entirely his fault, Rafe’s history made Eliza cautious around him.

The next day, as Eliza prepared to hold another prayer ceremony to use her spiritual energy to cleanse the lingering sickness from the people of Centrina City, she had just stepped onto the city wall when a sudden sensation made her stop. She turned her head toward a specific direction outside the city.

Her venomous creatures stirred, sending her a signal. “Someone is approaching Centrina City.”

“No… There is more than one.” Moments later, the creatures relayed another message.

“There were more people behind. Or rather, a carriage.”

“The carriage wasn’t crowded–just three people, it seemed.”

“But those three were driving the carriage in pursuit of the person ahead.”

As the distance between them closed, the signals from her creatures became sharper and more detailed.

At that time, Elize suddenly realized something.

“Anthony? He’s in that carriage?” Eliza’s venomous creatures detected the familiar presence and immediately informed her.

Eliza narrowed her eyes, her thoughts racing. Without hesitation, she called out, “Tina, bring me the person ahead–now!”

“Yes!”

This was Kingsley, reduced to a shadow of himself in just two days. He had fled from Iron Mountain near Saint Snow City, risking his life to reach the Centrina City. Along the way, he had narrowly escaped multiple assassination attempts by Anthony and his men.

His body was covered in old and new wounds, his blood–soaked clothes a testament to his desperate escape. Moments ago, he’d almost fallen into Anthony’s hands again. But at the last critical moment, he’d spotted the Black Flag camp–a beacon of salvation. Hesitation was no longer an option.

Even if they killed him for trespassing, he didn’t care. Better that than letting that bastard take the Dragonbone Lotus!

Using the last of his strength, Kingsley pulled out the Dragonbone Lotus he’d been guarding for two days and nights. He shoved it into the soldier’s hands, gasping, “Give this… to Her Grace…”

Before he could finish, his body gave out entirely. He collapsed, unconscious, his words left hanging in the air.

The carriage screeched to a halt in front of the Black Flag soldiers. A guard jumped down and barked, “How dare you! Hand it over right now–that belongs to our young master!”
