The Lady Nun Seeks Justice (Eliza Stonor) novel Chapter 584

584.Chapter 584

Anthony thundered, “Damn it! Get down there and find it.”

That Dragonbone Lotus was Anthony’s only chance to recover

As Kingsley plunged off the cliff with the Dragonbone Lotus, Anthony, seated in his creaky wooden wheelchair, was so frantic that he toppled to the ground

Dragging his paralyzed body across the dirt, his bloodshot eyes burned with fury he bellowed, “You must find the Dragonbone Lotust As for that lowlife, I don’t care if he’s dead or alive. If you see him, cut him into pieces

‘Damn that scum!

‘And damn Eliza even more!

‘She’s everywhere, meddling in everything!

I’m her brother, her own flesh and blood!

‘Why does she despise me so much? Can’t she just let me recover in peace?

‘Even now, she’s trying to take what’s mine, trying to destroy my last hope of recovery!

Anthony cursed, “Damn it all! Every single one of you deserves to diet”

At that moment, under the cliff, amidst the snow, Kingsley, battered and bloodied, slowly dragged himself out of the snow.

One arm hung limp and broken, but his other hand gripped the Dragonbone Lotus tightly. Blood clouded his vision as he turned to glance back at Saint Snow City, then staggered away in the opposite direction, his steps unsteady yet determined.

Meanwhile, Eliza, still in Centrina City, had no idea about the events unfolding elsewhere.

After learning at the governor’s mansion that Anthony had arrived in Wotería, she immediately sent out swarms of poisonous bugs to search for him.

To her and Nolan, Anthony wasn’t much of a threat. The only reason they were determined to find him was to prevent any unexpected complications.

Once she suspected that he had come to Wotería in search of medicine, her resolve hardened. There was no way she would let him succeed.

Herpoisonous bugs scoured every corner of Centrína City for an entire day and night, but Anthony remained elusive.

Frustrated, Eliza began to wonder, “Has he left Centrina City?”

The Black Flag had blocked two of the city gates, while her poisonous bugs kept watch over the other two unguarded ones. Yet, there was no sign of Anthony or anyone resembling him leaving the city.

“Could he have left with the group that moved the Immortality Pills from the governor’s mansion instead of leaving alone?*

The Immortality Pills and evidence from the governor’s mansion had indeed been relocated.

But Nolan deliberately let them go.

The evidence and Immortality Pills from the governor’s mansion were only enough to deal with Jefferson. To bring down the entire Malone family, Nolan needed proof of their collusion with the foreign tribes.

When Nolan led the Black Flag to storm the city, it seemed like Jefferson was stalling for time. But in truth, Nolan was using the delay to his advantage.

Once Rayden took the Immortality Pills, Nolan immediately sealed off Centrina City, ensuring no word got out before the Malone family’s downfall was finalized.

Nolan moved swiftly.

In just one day and night, the entire Centrina City was firmly under his control.

He distributed real relief supplies–grain, warm clothing, and even medicine to ward off the cold.

By the end of the day, Eliza and Nolan’s combined efforts had reassured and settled the people of Centrina City.

Eliza finally had some time to ask about her “dear brother Anthony.”

Nolan said, “The scouts reported this morning that three people from the group vanished overnight.

“The sorcerer kept the scouts at bay, so we still don’t know,Nolan said, shaking his head.

Eliza’s expression shifted in an instant. “Your Highness, something’s wrong!”

Her voice was stern. “The team transporting the Immortality Pills, including Rayden, got caught in an avalanche and buried. The Black Flag scouts tailing them might have been caught, too. None of the poisonous bugs on them are responding.”

Eliza’s poisonous bugs spread messages quickly, allowing her to receive updates almost instantly.

Though the details weren’t as clear as those from the scouts, the avalanche itself didn’t need much explanation. Nolan’s expression darkened. “An avalanche, now?” he muttered, suspicion lacing his tone.

Was it a real avalanche, or a staged one to cover something up?

Eliza turned to Nolan. “What’s the plan?”

“Whether it’s real or fake, we must rescue them first,” Nolan said decisively.

If it truly was an avalanche, the Malone family’s people aside, his two scouts were undoubtedly in danger.

TU go. My poisonous bugs can lead me straight to them. I won’t waste any time,” Eliza volunteered.

With the citizens of Centrina City pacified and no longer requiring her immediate attention, she stepped forward. “We’re going together. That’s final,” Nolan replied firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Nolan quickly organized the Black Flag soldiers, splitting half of the troops into ten battalions, each consisting of five hundred soldiers.

Each battalion was loaded with substantial relief supplies and dispatched to various disaster–stricken areas in Woteria. The remaining half stayed behind to defend Centrina City.

After a short while, Nolan and Eliza, wrapped tightly in a heavy cloak, appeared outside Centrina City. The two rode on horseback, accompanied by only a handful of elite Black Flag soldiers. Guided by her poisonous bugs, they raced toward the site of the incident without delay.

Not long after they departed, a small group of figures cloaked in black appeared outside Centrina City. The leader, concealed beneath a large hood and a strange mask, kept their face completely hidden.

They approached the city gate, raising their heads to gaze at the towering city walls. The jar in their hands buzzed with the restless hum of insects.

“A new ‘guest, huh? For Rayden to hand over his territory so easily, this one must be quite the powerhouse,” one of them remarked, their tone tinged with curiosity.
