The King Of Warriors novel (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6706

At last, the fading light revealed Black Abyss Valley's entrance in full.

Two sheer black cliffs rose like colossal stone gates, piercing the clouds and enclosing the narrow mouth of the valley between them.

Dense demonic sigils covered the cliff faces. Dark-red light pulsed through them in the twilight like countless open eyes blinking slowly, each flicker following an ancient rhythm of breath.

Heavy black mist blanketed the valley entrance. Dense demonic energy rolled within it like something alive.

At times it gathered into vague shapes, then dissolved back into nothingness. A cold, oppressive presence seeped from the fog, warning every living creature that approached that this was no place for outsiders.

Jared stopped before the entrance and studied the churning darkness with his purple eyes, feeling the dense demonic energy contained within it.

There was an ancient weight to that energy, as though countless years of accumulation had fused it permanently into the valley itself.

For ordinary cultivators, this place was effectively forbidden ground. For Demonic Cultivators, it was a natural refuge.

No wonder the celestials did not enter casually. In an environment like this, celestial spiritual power would be heavily suppressed, cutting their combat strength by at least thirty percent.

"We're here."

Relief finally appeared on Asher's face. His voice remained hoarse, but the joy of surviving long enough to return home straightened his back. "This is Black Abyss Valley.

"When I was young, I spent several years in this valley. I moved to Starfall City later. I may have left, but this place has always been home to Demonic Cultivators."

He drew in a deep breath as if trying to pull the demonic energy at the entrance all the way into his lungs.

To him, the aura felt almost maternal—familiar, reassuring, and safe.

The human and beast clan cultivators stopped as well. Instinctive unease entered their faces as they looked into the valley.

They had come for a bounty, but the natural barrier of demonic energy still made their bodies uncomfortable.

The white-haired elder leading them frowned and flared his nostrils as though trying to clear the oppressive scent from his senses. He said nothing, merely lifting a hand to tell everyone behind him to wait quietly.

Jared stepped toward the valley entrance.

Gwendolyn and Master Veridian followed closely. The young acolyte tucked himself behind Master Veridian and peeked around him, curiosity and nervousness mingling on his small face.

Two guards waited at the mouth of the valley.

Both were Demonic Cultivators in black armor, holding long black halberds. Dark-red light flowed over the weapon tips in rhythm with the demonic sigils on the cliffs.

Their eyes burned like two dark-red lamps as they watched every approaching figure.

Both guards were Level Seven Golden Immortals. Their auras were stable and razor-sharp, marking them as elite defenders of Black Abyss Valley.

As Jared's group approached, both men raised their halberds at the same time and crossed them over the entrance. The movement was crisp and immediate.

"Stop!"

The guard on the left barked the order, his voice echoing between the cliffs.

His gaze swept over Jared, Gwendolyn, and Master Veridian. His brows pulled together sharply, vigilance and hostility entering his eyes.

"Humans? Why have you come here? This valley belongs to Demonic Cultivators. Outsiders do not enter Black Abyss Valley."
