Lorraine sighed. "She's only 18."

It was just too cruel for someone so young to be thrust into the dark and twisted side of society.

I gently patted Lorraine's waist, knowing that she was starting to feel sad. "Do you think I'm being too cruel?"

After all, Yolanda was my sister. Her mother might have been a mistress, but she was innocent.

"I would never think that." Lorraine looked into my eyes incredibly earnestly.

"I support every decision you make. You don't really have a connection to her anyway," Lorraine said.

Even Chris, her own brother, was treating her this way. It meant that I wasn't doing anything wrong by keeping my hands off it.

"I just think it's terribly sad." Lorraine had experienced something like that before as well. But back then, she managed to escape that fate because Sam had protected her.

That was why she was so forgiving of Sam's over-the-line actions. It was her way of repaying him for protecting her.

News of Yolanda seeking me out quickly reached Henry's ears.

I was greeted with the sight of a fuming Henry the moment I arrived at the company.

He had come here in a hurry, and he immediately stormed toward me the moment he saw me. "You were the one who demanded that we wouldn't interfere in each other's lives, so what are you trying to do now?"

Henry had started to get anxious when Yolanda failed to return after a long time. After searching everywhere, he actually happened to see Yolanda bidding me farewell. He started to panic, fearing I would interfere.

I scoffed. "I think an early death might be better for her. It's better than being used by her family of bloodsuckers."

I called for security. "Deal with him. Don't ever let him step inside again. If I see him here one more time, you'll be out of a job."

"Yes, Mr. Joplin." The security guard hurriedly nodded.

All the while, Henry kept shouting at me.

Henry only stopped screaming when he was removed from the premises.
