The security guard laughed. "It's really no big deal—I doubt he'd do anything to me. I'd just quit if I have to, and I've made enough from this place anyway."
And with that, he nodded at Frank and Zark before heading back to the security booth.
Frank then said, "The old man is right. We need to watch out—I'll keep cooking, while you stay and protect your cousin. Don't let them mess things up."
"I'm counting on you!"
Zark would rather not let Frank leave on his own, even if it was perfectly safe. After all, this was not Frank's problem, so he could not bother Frank.
However, since Frank's suggestion remained the best, Zark simply had to follow.
Meanwhile, Janice hurried over.
Not finding Frank anywhere and seeing Zark on the bench, she asked, "Sorry to bother you, sir, but have you met this tall, handsome youth? He was visiting someone in Ward 22!"
Hearing 'tall and handsome' quickly told Zark who Janice was looking for. "You're looking for the chief? He's cooking medicine right now, but he'll be back soon."
"Chief?" Janice was perplexed.
It was usually sir, mister, or boss.
Janice giggled as she was amused at the thought that Frank was some tribal chief, though it would make Frank all the more interesting.
"Yes, chief."
Thank goodness she caught on quickly, even befriending Frank, or she would end up worse than the other college student upstairs!
"Then, what shaped his personality?" she pressed. "My friends and I ran into him on a mountain, and things got unpleasant. If I were him, I wouldn't have forgiven us, but he really didn't take offense!"
Zark chuckled. "I've just met the guy, but I have to say that he's righteous. Hell, when we were cooking medicine downstairs just now, the security guard asked us to take it elsewhere, and he did so without arguing, even apologizing! What do you take from that?"
Janice quickly shook her head—even frivolous local millionaires were conceited, let alone a martial elite like Frank.
"T-Then… Is he married?" she asked sheepishly.
Zark shook his head. "Probably not."
