If anything, Frank had been incredibly polite!
The security guard sighed in relief and felt lucky that he handled the issue perfectly, or he could not have stopped Frank on a rampage.
After all, a mere security guard flashing his badge in the dead of night? His head would have rolled if Frank was not that nice.
However, Frank had barely left when he found a balding geezer staring at him… or to be specific, the fire and cauldron floating beside him. "What's in there, kid?"
"Nothing. Just Draconian traditional medicine for a patient."
"Draconian traditional medicine?"
The geezer stared at Frank with a weird look before scowling, as if pained. "It's all bullshit, kid. I'd advise you not to feed anyone that. What is the hospital supposed to do if things go bad?"
"What's it to you? And who are you anyway?"
Zark despised people like the geezer, constantly slandering Draconian traditional medicine just because they were certified doctors, completely forgetting their roots.
"Sorry, sirs! This is Dr. Eric Thorne, our hospital chief!" The security guard hurried over, explaining with a look of exasperation.
Even an amateur like him knew that one should not generalize Draconian traditional medicine. It was true that there were charlatans, but that did not mean that everyone was horrible.
In fact, there were some who were amazing, and the security guard remembered a famous healer who had helped solve several complicated cases in this hospital.
Catching nothing, Eric stumbled and almost fell.
Fuming, he snapped, "W-What are you doing?!"
"Just listen to you." Frank smirked. "Making yourself sound so altruistic when you just want the lunarise root for yourself. Anyone stupid would be convinced that you're a nice guy!"
"W-What did you say?! I'll sue you for slander!"
Eric was not about to admit to anything even though his greedy stare had exposed him.
He might be a doctor of modern medicine, but he dabbled in Draconian traditional medicine, studying herbs, and even listening to what others had to say.
