The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2605

Zark stayed silent—truth be told, he was not all that close with Frank.

He would be doing everyone a favor if he helped, but it was a right if he did not—Zark would never try to appeal to his emotion.

The guests looked on, their malice growing despite their cowardice.

After all, they could not afford to let anyone hear about this.

And seeing that Frank had incapacitated the Ghostly Six, they were getting restless…

That was when Frank growled, "What do you think you're doing? You're all representatives of legitimate clans and sects—the humiliation from defeat is temporary, but the humiliation from blindsiding a harmless opponent is forever!"

The guests all froze instantly, afraid to take another step.

They would naturally like to argue against Frank, but might makes right, and they would never measure up to Frank's might.

The Ghostly Six noticed what the guests were up to as well and smirked instead of getting upset.

"We already know what you people are like. Guess following your instincts exposed you!"

"Remember—as long as we live, we'll make life difficult for you, and you're always welcome to come after us for revenge!"

Once again, the guests were silent.

"Argh!!!"

That was when Thalos and his son Haran cried out, looking around in panic even as they regained consciousness.

Zark promptly snapped at them, "Calm down. The Ghostly Six isn't trying to kill you!"

However, neither Thalos nor Haran believed that as they started fearfully at the Ghostly Six, scrambling to their feet to flee.

"You're kidding!" Thalos shook his head, skeptical.

"You've really changed, Zark—can any of us believe you now?" Haran snapped bluntly.

One of the guests—clearly intent on adding fuel to the fire, goaded, "Haran Cumur! Since you don't believe Zark, why don't you fight that man?"

Haran smirked. "Save your goading. He isn't strong, but his physique is top notch. I don't stand a chance now that I'm hurt!"

The guests laughed. "Well, that's easy. Your injuries aren't that terrible, so why don't we heal you and your father before you challenge him?"

"Sounds good!" Haran nodded without hesitation.

The guests were all laughing themselves silly and started toward the two of them.

Frank growled coolly, "You'd best be sure about this. You have no idea what just happened!"
