The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2490

Laughing, Meg clinked glasses with Frank, and both of them chugged it whole.

Soon after they finished their alcohol, the food was served.

While they were chatting as they ate, Frank needed to go.

There were no washrooms in the private room, so he headed outside.

After using the washroom and stepping out, he ran into a drunken lady who was washing her face while half leaning on the countertop.

She was halfway through her twenties and wearing a jersey, and she had a toned healthy figure, but she was wobbling from the alcohol.

"Could you pass me some tissues?" she asked Frank, since the roll on her side was used up.

Frank passed one to her, and was ready to leave when a hunched old baldy with a sleazy smile came up beside the lady. "What's wrong, Ms. Loum? There are more bigwigs waiting for you to serve them drinks!"

"I got it!" Ms. Loum rolled her eyes in annoyance. "And can't you at least help up? I'm already drunk!"

Baldy simply laughed. "Alcohol is soul food. The more you drink, the younger you get!"

He moved closer, copping a feel, but Ms. Loum shoved him away and slapped him across the face.

"Are you crazy?!" Baldy bellowed. "I've been so nice! You know men are into your type, and it's the same whether they had a taste, or me. We're all colleagues here, so gotta keep the goodies to our own, right?"

"Fuck off! Look in the mirror already, you pig!"

Frank smiled, shaking his head, while she flashed a pained smile as she kept sobbing. "But I had to do it! I have twenty kids under my care, but we can't even afford textbooks. I come to seedy places like these just to get investments, hoping that they'd find some kindness in their hearts to sponsor them… But it's just a pipe dream.

"They're all just lusting for me! Now that I thought about it, I'm an embarrassment, teaching children to lead honest lives while coming to places like these. The irony…"

Frank sighed. "What's ironic when you're doing it for the children? The only thing you're doing wrong is your method. Why don't you come to my room if you don't mind, so we can talk about it?"

The lady shook her head. "It's alright. I know you're kind, but there's no curing poverty—I give up. I can't save those children."

"Really?"

Frank pointed at his own shirt. "I don't know much about luxury goods, but I think this is LV designer goods. It's worth a few grand, so if I can afford this, I dare say I can sponsor some students, even if I can't beat poverty!"
