The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2477

Frank actually had no intention to kill Blondie, but his insults really irked Frank.

Since he had no scruples and had definitely been involved in plenty of crimes involving plenty of victims, Frank did not hesitate to grab him and throw him down the mountain.

The crowd was shocked and hurried over to the edge to see that Blondie had landed instantly, reduced to a puddle of blood and guts!

They all turned pale in terror—Frank was simply horrific!

On the other hand, Jada was sneering at the pickpockets lying around on the floor.

They were certainly a lot less pompous than before, even prostrating themselves before Frank in a tidy line as if they trained for it.

Frank snorted. "I'll be frank—I'd rather not spare any of you, so it's a shame that people whose lives are inconsequential. You have one chance to surrender yourself to the authorities in two hours, or I'll find you and kill you. Understand?"

"Yes, sir!"

The pickpockets all nodded, scrambling to their feet and sprinting down the mountain right then.

Frank then turned toward the crowd and said, "Apologies for the mess, but don't worry—I'm plenty patient with good people and won't hurt any of you. Enjoy yourselves!"

The crowd was left trading glances—they would certainly like to ignore Frank's presence too, but it was really impossible with that puddle of blood and guts beneath the mountain!

Their buzz killed, everyone was soon gone, and Alda Ingram giggled. "They're just too faint-hearted for their own good!"

Hana Pearce smiled too. "To be fair, even we would be terrified if Mr. Frankton had done that when we first met. And those are just normal people—it makes sense if they're scared!"

Moxxi agreed. "Well, it's even better now that there's no one else around. We can enjoy ourselves as much as we can!"

And with that, none of them worried about the fleeing tourists anymore and continued taking in the sights.

As she headed to the kitchen, however, she deliberately mused out loud as she walked past Moxxi, "It's understandable for the others to be tired, but you? Don't tell me that you're tired too—even Mr. Frankton would think that you're slacking off on purpose if he finds out."

Moxxi would keep quiet and enjoy Jada's labor, but she certainly could not play dumb now that Jada had exposed her outright—she had to do something!

"Fine. It's just cooking anyway!" She snorted. "But as you'd know, I'm a better cook when it comes to foreign cuisine."

Jada snorted. "What's that supposed to mean? Are you belittling local cuisine now?"

Seeing that Jada was trying to cause trouble, Moxxi calmly explained, "Local cuisine is more complicated and difficult. Do you think just anyone would comprehend the wisdom of the ancients? Not many do!"

That actually got a laugh from Jada. "Fine, I'm the old-fashioned one, okay? Just help me out here!"

"Now that's better!"
