The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2432

That was when Demi spotted a familiar face at Frank's table—Jada!

Realizing with a start, she quickly said, "Manager, bring me a couple of bottles!"

"I thought you didn't drink," the manager said. "The boss would fire me if he finds out!"

"It's just a couple of bottles, and we should repay them for saving us."

The manager nodded and beckoned for a waiter to get the liquor, while he took the microphone and announced, "Apologies for the little distraction, everyone! Each table will get a fruit plate on the house—now, let's continue the music!"

It was not their fight anyway, so they quickly turned away and continued dancing.

Meanwhile, Demi headed to Frank's table with the liquor, pouring herself a full glass and toasting them. "Thanks for the assist!"

Jada was bemused. "I thought you didn't drink?"

"Depends on the situation." Demi giggled. "You've all saved me, so I naturally have to bend a few rules."

And with that, everyone around the table raised their glasses and drank without another word.

After finishing hers, Demi sat down and asked, "Where did the gentleman at the cafe go? Why isn't he with you?"

Jada smiled in wry amusement and gestured at Frank with her chin. "Right over there!"

Demi smiled, shaking her head. "Don't tease me, ma'am. What, is he Zeus, changing forms as wants?"

But even as she turned toward Frank, he reverted to Red Shirt's appearance, which Demi quickly recognized!

She was left rubbing her eyes—this was not right! She was bad with alcohol, but she could not have gotten drunk from just one glass!

What was really going on here?

Moxxi then laughed. "Don't get weirded out now. He can really do anything—changing his appearance is really no problem."

Demi frowned in silence—while Moxxi was right, was there anyone who would not get weirded out?

That said, the man was such a looker!

However, Hal Prana waved him off. "That's unnecessary. I heard one of my friends was being bullied—aren't you aware of that?"

The manager frowned. "Your friend? Who?"

Hal smirked. "He had a dragon tattoo on his face!"

The manager was stunned—he did not remember Hal having a friend with that appearance!

Still, he quickly said, "Please Mr. Prana. It's just a misunderstanding—just look the other way this time!"

"Misunderstanding?!" Hal snapped. "Bullshit! My friend is now crippled from the waist down, and the doctor said it's untreatable! What do you think I should do?!"

"I understand, Mr. Prana. It started because of me, so I'll take responsibility and any punishment."

The manager was terrified that Hal would bother Frank and decided to take the blame.

However, Hal merely shot him a look. "You?! Fuck off! This is way beyond you, but don't worry, I'll make you pay too. But for now, I want to see the person who hurt my friend!"
