The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2403

Having never met Frank before and unaware of his personality, Red Shirt was genuinely concerned about reprisals.

Taking his gun back from the woman, he nudged her. "Apologize already!"

However, the woman was petrified and did not move, leaving Red Shirt fuming.

He pulled her toward Frank, kowtowing in apology. "We never knew that you're a superior being, and we really meant no offense! Please look the other way this one time!"

Frank smiled in wry amusement. "What did you just call me?"

"A superior being? Or just a god, if you like! I mean, aren't you one? Even bullets can't touch you!"

Frank chuckled in exasperation. "Shagan really fell from grace, huh? Ascendant-ranked individuals can handle bullets, let alone a plain handgun like that one. Don't worry—I can be ruthless, but I won't kill a woman. I did goad her into shooting anyway."

Red Shirt sighed in relief. "Fair enough…"

"Wait!"

"W-We're innocent too! We never shot you, so just let us go!"

The other tomb raiders were on their knees too, terrified that Frank could kill them.

Frank chuckled, "I'm not a bloodthirsty maniac, and I can see reason. Just try to cooperate, and I might spare your lives."

"O-Of course! We will cooperate!" the tomb raider quickly said, terrified that Frank would kill them if they so much as misspoke.

Frank nodded. "I'm sure y'all know the way, so take the lead."

"Okay!" Red Shirt promptly beckoned for his colleagues to guide Frank.

As they continued ahead, they came across several other burial chambers, but there was nothing special about them and mostly the same as the others.

Frank chuckled in disdain and simply blew a puff of air, obliterating the centipedes into dust!

The tomb raiders traded glances—they knew Frank was good, but not that good!

In fact, they had already encountered one such centipede and could not even hurt it no matter what they did. It almost killed them too, and Frank showed them how insignificant it was…

Even Sylvie was curious. "Is that thing that dangerous?"

The tomb raiders then told her what happened before, leaving her smiling in wry amusement.

It was a really lonely life standing above the rest. Even if Sylvie was not the one who did it, hanging out with Frank for too long distorted her sense of reality.

Now, he actually thought the mutant centipede was just a little annoying at best!
