Frank walked up to Pat, smiling. "Sorry you had to travel all this way."

Pat returned his smile, shrugging. "Come on. You are a very important friend—of course I had to see you when you're in town."

Frank nodded and walked up to Arcus. "Well done, kid. Not even Jada would be able to handle this as well as you did."

Arcus actually felt embarrassed instead and asked, "When are we visiting the Costners, sir?"

"Yeah, this can't wait." Frank nodded, turning back to Pat. "How did it go?"

"Can't say it went well!"

Pat shook his head. "Walt Costner had been fueling rumors that you're the one who poisoned Derek, and the family is now reluctant to let you meet him."

"They are as stupid as they are sickening!" Arcus snorted in annoyance. "Can't they at least think about it? What would Mr. Frankton have to gain from hurting the head of a small family like theirs?"

"Calm down." Pat chuckled. "I'm sure Mr. Frankton has a plan in mind already."

Frank chuckled. "You know me well!"

Arcus' eyes lit up, all too eager to listen.

To be honest, he had no solutions to offer so that Frank could treat Derek's illness.

"Simple." Frank shrugged. "We'll just have to charge inside!"

"What?!" Arcus exclaimed in shock. "That's no good, Mr. Frankton! The conflict would definitely escalate!"

Frank smiled, shaking his head. "Don't worry—that would only happen briefly, at best. Once Derek wakes up, they would suddenly feel more at ease and wouldn't want to mess with us. Get it?"

Arucs nodded in understanding.

Arcus nodded too, although he was eager to go with Frank, since he wanted to see Frank in action.
