Moxxi giggled. "Do you think I'd survive otherwise? We're no match for Lugh Frankton's horrific power, and I wouldn't be here if not for this gentleman."
Smith nodded without arguing—while others might not be aware, Smith knew full well that Frank was not your average Joe, and Moxxi's people were really helpless against him.
In fact, someone who survived Frank would be someone special, which made sense that Moxxi's new bodyguard was different in sheer presence, and even the look in his eyes.
And in all likelihood, Moxxi did not want to stand out and told the bodyguard to sit as well.
It was not just Frank—the Cerulean Summit Legion were no pushovers.
While Smith had all the answers to those questions, he asked anyway, "How did it go?"
Moxxi smirked—if she did not wise up in time and surrender to Frank, she would not even be here.
Making a furious face, she demanded, "Don't you know full well what Lugh Frankton is capable of?"
Even though she had to stay calm to avoid blowing her cover, she must not try too hard hiding it either. After all, she had been betrayed by her superior and treated as cannon fodder, so it did not make sense if she was not upset!
Still, something bugged Smith. "So how did you escape from him?"
"Sorry, to say, I didn't," Moxxi growled coolly. "He got me, and if he didn't want me to send a message, I'd be dead without the chance to surrender!"
Moxxi shrugged. "To be honest, I'd really like Lugh Frankton to end you right here, so that you'd pay for the horror show you put me through. But he disagreed, because he wants to meet our real boss for a real talk. So why don't you be his messenger? I'm sure he won't kill you while he still needs you."
Smith froze, stunned senseless for a while.
Be his messenger?! Was she kidding?!
Frank was no pushover who would surrender to BM Group easily—this was clearly an attempt to use Smith and track down the head of BM Group!
Still, Smith was a coward like Moxxi. As such, he certainly did not dare to bargain when he might get killed in an instant and did as he was told!
