Donnie nodded. "Do tell, Ms. Turin!"
Jada said solemnly, "I'll be frank. This town—even Shagan altogether—hasn't been peaceful for a while. As you and Ms. Ingram are both important to Mr. Frankton, our people will protect you to avoid trouble."
Donnie was unsure if he should laugh or cry—and here he was wondering what it was going to be.
Still, this was fine since it at least proved Frank did not think that highly of himself, even telling him before taking any action. It only showed his fine character.
Nodding, Donnie said, "No problems too. Alda and I could move to a better location if it helps too, as long as it doesn't affect your work."
Jada smiled. "You really are understanding, Mr. Ingram! Anyway, we'll be going since we have other things to do."
As Jada and Frank got up, however, Donnie quickly stopped them. "Please stay—it's not often that you visit us, so you have to at least stay for dinner."
Neither Jada nor Frank were actually planning to stay, but since Donnie was insistent, they agreed to it.
As they took their seats, Donnie raised his glass. "Let's drink to a brighter future!"
While the Ingrams were the lords of this town, they really paled in insignificance in Shagan, but now, Donnie was in Frank's good graces!
Even if others would not be aware, Donnie knew the depth of Frank's strength, and that a measly business conglomerate like BM Group would not bring him down.
In fact, he could even lead the Ingram family to the international scene!
Everyone chugged their drinks, and before Donnie could continue speaking, his face fell, and he collapsed on the table.
Frank saw that it included an address—whoever they were, they were threatening him with the Ingrams' lives!
"Sir, don't worry—I have plenty of experience in this situation," Jada assured him. "I'll make them pay!"
Frank stopped her before she could go on a rampage. "Let's just meet them for now."
Jada appeared concerned. "What if they attack you?"
Frank chuckled. "I wield the power of the spiritron vein. Even if I didn't, I could overcome anything they had in store."
Jada nodded at Frank's words. That much was true—Frank was not an average Joe, and facing a small fry like them was overkill!
