"Yes, yes, yes… You're a real gentleman, so much nobler than I am!"
Relieved, Mr. Quaker turned to leave.
Frank then turned to Jada. "Well done, Ms. Turin. You've really straightened him out—I'm impressed."
"You flatter me, Mr. Frankton!" Jada smiled. "It was just cheap tricks—really no big deal."
"Tell me!" Frank asked, curious.
"The power you granted us is quite curious, as it grants the ability to cast illusions too! That's why I had one of us hound him day and night, haunting him with nameless monstrosities!"
Frank nodded in realization—at that point, Mr. Quaker had to submit.
Since he was being haunted by illusions, no one would believe him, since the average person would always be skeptical toward the paranormal.
However, because they were definitely appearing right in front of Mr. Quaker's eyes, he would not forget it anytime soon—they would even show up whenever he closed his eyes.
That was simply giving Mr. Quaker a taste of his own medicine—he wanted to be unreasonable, so they just had to go beyond that!
Not only would they never be caught in the act, but intimidation was not against the law too. The power they used was also without name and untraceable, so Mr. Quaker had to yield either way.
"Sorry for causing so much trouble!"
Dawn appeared apologetic. "Not only did you have to go through all that just to help me, but I'm not recovering at all."
She had been taking her prescriptions just as Frank had instructed her to. But for some reason, when she was just about to recover, she suddenly could not.
Five minutes later, they stopped outside the Ingrams' residence, and the security guard outside recognized Frank, smiling and greeting him. "Long time no see, Mr. Frankton. Are you here to see Ms. Ingram?"
"Yeah. How are things? Are Tigris and the others doing well?" Frank passed him a cigarette, making small talk with the man without puffing himself with superiority.
The security guard accepted the cigarette with both hands. "Are you really fine with this? You're a VIP now…"
Frank was not sure if he should laugh or cry. "What VIP? We're all people. Rank doesn't matter."
The security guard was left grinning ear-to-ear.
So this was why Jason Chand considered Frank a brother from another mother and treated him like one. The man's character was simply beyond question!
"Tigris has been doing well too. I heard he just became general manager and is now basically the top dog in the company!"
