The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2305

Frank did not reject the other ladies because he at least somewhat knew them, but that was not the case for Sue.

First of all, she remained a mystery, and even if her identity was clear, she was clearly not all she appeared to be.

Moreover, her family was far richer than the Ingrams, and she would definitely have met plenty of handsome men. As such, why would she be so interested in Frank after only just meeting him?

Even Alda only wanted to give herself to Frank after he saved her life.

As such, it made sense why Frank would rebuff Sue's advances.

Still, Sue was getting frustrated. "You really can't tell what a man's thinking. So many men would like to get it on with me, but not him? Damn him!"

While she was not tall, her figure was still curvaceous, unlike those lanky types, but Frank was still not interested!

Meg smiled. "They always come around. Patience, Ms. Fisher—take your time."

"Take my time? Did you?" Sue shot back.

Meg shrugged—it was no big secret. "Well, it's more or less the same for us… and things went swimmingly once we got a room."

"See?! That's how a man normally responds! I wonder if he lost his balls or something…"

Seeing that Sue was pressing the issue, Meg decided against responding since she did not know how to comfort someone on something like this.

Taking a seat, she started munching on some peanuts, while Sue continued on her own, "Well, I guess it makes sense, since no one would doubt that someone's actually uninterested in an heiress like me.

"When the feeling hits, anyone would be overwhelmed. The times have changed—just having a little fun is good, even if we don't end up together!"

Meg carried the dishes over to the sink—even if she was reluctant to see Frank go, she knew that he was a man of destiny. Since she would not be of help, the best she could do was not to trouble Frank.

At the same time, Sue and Frank got into a Lamborghini outside Golden Lily.

However, she was not in a hurry to leave, as she simply revved the engine, allowing its thunderous bellow to resound throughout the sleepy town.

Sue grinned smugly. "Logically speaking, there aren't many people of my age who can get a shiny ride like this by their own labor."

Frank did not particularly agree—making money was easy since it was basically paper, and it might someday lose its worth too.

Control over resources was the key to stay immune against the changing state of the world, but Sue was clearly one of them.

Nonetheless, the Lamborghini soon shot forward, quickly leaving town and soon reaching a highway toll stop.
