The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2266

None of the other thugs dared to say a word and quietly submitted to Rudy.

"Whoever mouths off after this will get it worse than him!" he bellowed.

The thugs all quickly nodded—they were certainly unlucky, running into a reaper like Rudy when they only wanted to earn a living.

"She's here, boss!" A thug was trembling in his boots even as he led a woman dressed sharply in a suit inside.

And it was none other than Fiona Queen, Pax Jaric's former flame!

Rudy was at once interested. "Aren't you afraid of me?"

"Men are pigs, but I'm sure you'd prioritize your career!" Fiona winked at him. "And we're talking about a man as attractive as you. Who could possibly refuse you? And I'm never one to lose out!"

"Cut the crap," Rudy snapped coolly. "Are you accepting my offer or not?"

"Of course! I'll do anything as long as it hurts Lugh Frankton."

Rudy appeared skeptical. "I don't recall any bad blood between you two."

It was not as if Rudy found this unfair for Frank—if anything, Rudy wanted all the people he could get to improve his odds at winning.

However, people like Fiona could be more than what they seemed, and Rudy was intent on finding out what she wanted!

After all, if she held a grudge against Frank for firing her, then that was all there to it. Frank had even generously waived her debt, which meant that someone like her had no reason to go all out.

Nonetheless, Fiona smirked. "I know what you're worried about, but you have no idea what this means to me!

"I'm an heiress, but Lugh Frankton treated me like dirt and ousted me, reducing me to a laughing stock! Reputation might not matter to you, but this is worse than death for me!"

"Wait, isn't she the former owner of Consortium? And I heard she was close with Pax Jaric. Maybe…"

Soon, as the pieces fell into place, everyone realized who Fiona was complaining about.

"Look up, woman! This is Frankton Tower now—even the Jaric name has been taken off the side of the building! Go to Pax Jaric's home to find him if you want, and leave our office in peace!"

Fiona completely ignored the disapproving employees and kept wailing like someone died, hurting everyone's ears.

Naturally, such a huge commotion drew the security personnel. Though they had a job to do, they did not attack right away even if Fiona was just being unreasonable, even persuading her, "Ma'am, could you do us a favor and stop causing a fuss outside our building?

Fiona simply turned and shot a look at the thugs, who nodded and whipped out their baseball bats, clubbing the security guards!

They really did not want a fight, since winning meant jail and losing meant the hospital. It was a loss either way, but they had no choice when they did not dare to go against someone as vicious as Rudy.
