Whitney laughed. "I knew he's young and amazing, but I'm surprised he's this amazing. Guess I was right about you, kiddo! You're going to be a big deal!"
Frank smiled but said nothing.
A big deal? He would be long gone if not for his cultivation—this had nothing to do with talent, but it was his hard work in training instead.
Jada then turned to Whitney, politely offering a solution seeing that Whitney and Frank were close. "Leaving aside Urich Hampton for the moment, my company will pay his victim with 500 grand. Consider the extra money for mental compensation, if that's alright?"
"Oh, sure thing!" Whitney exclaimed. "I'm not the victim, but I'm sure he'd agree to it."
Jada nodded. "Allow me to apologize once again for the trouble. It's our lax management that led to this in the first place. Please come in!"
With that, everyone headed to the Tammeron meeting room, where Jada poured everyone tea and smiled at Whitney. "Since it's rare for you to drop by, you should stay a few days!"
While it appeared to be a cordial invite, Jada had an ulterior motive.
After all, she was keen to see what Sally would do if she found out that they had Whitney!
"No way!" Whitney chuckled. "Lugh is doing so well now, and I shouldn't rain on his parade!"
Even if Frank was now a bigwig, Whitney still thought of him as a brother.
"I'm still me." Frank smiled. "I won't change no matter how rich I get."
Whitney laughed. "I don't think so. You really know how to enjoy yourself, getting yourself a couple of babes as soon as you get rich."
Neither Sylvie nor Jada appeared offended, and Sylvie even teased, "It's not just a couple—the rest aren't here yet, but your boy has more bitches than you think."
Whitney was curious, seeing how cheerful Sylvie was and that she could joke about it. "Aren't you jealous?"
"Why should I be?" Sylvie shrugged. "I can't keep him to myself when he's that attractive. Haven't you heard of the tale of the naked consort?"
"It's fine. You're friends with Mr. Frankton, and that makes you my friend."
Unable to turn down Jada, Whitney nodded again, giving in.
Still, Jada had planned to take Frank on a tour and had to cancel because of Whitney's unexpected arrival, returning to Jaric Tower with them.
As soon as they returned to the office, someone entered and exclaimed, "I'm sorry, Mr. Frankton, but someone vandalized our properties!"
"What properties?"
Jada was puzzled—the Jarics had considerable influence in this town, so who could be that daring to cause trouble with a new boss in town?
"Forgive me for being frank, but I think it has something to do with Tammerton," the employee explained. "Urich Hampton must be upset after you fired him, so he sent some goons to break our stuff."
Jada nodded. "Got it. You can go now."
