The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2226

Meg heard Kiki and wheeled on her right then, pretending to be furious. "What was that? I guess you don't want this month's pay?"

Kiki rolled her eyes, but she could only pout as she was afraid to breathe another word, leaving Meg smiling in amusement.

And seeing that Kiki was that amusing, Alda teased her. "Ms. Quill doesn't have much of a sense of humor, so you've proven yourself by making her laugh. Why not take up a career in comedy?"

Kiki could not even challenge Meg, let alone the heiress of the Ingram family.

Hanging her head, she muttered, "Surely you're joking, Ms. Ingram."

Alda smiled in wry amusement. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you, and Lugh is around too. He'd never let anyone bully those beneath them.

Kiki pouted. "Would he find out if you two worked together in secret? And I'm not as close with him as you two are to him."

With that, Kiki excused herself, or she might snap at the two powerful women if she stayed.

"That brat… all she ever does is play around, and she doesn't even have two brain cells to rub together."

Meg sighed in slight disappointment but stopped Frank before he left with Alda. "Wait, I have something to tell you. It's serious, and it's all Kiki's fault that I almost forgot."

Frank paused. "What is it?"

"The Jarics sent their people over, saying that Pax had something for you. They left it on the front desk," Meg said and had Kiki pass him a document envelope. "Don't worry. I didn't let anyone else look inside."

Frank nodded and opened the folder to find himself staring at a transfer agreement.

It had the signature of every key member of the Jaric family, and it was valid once Frank put his signature on it!

Meg flashed a mischievous smile as she stood on her toes in front of Frank and gave him a soft peck on the lips.

Frank was not about to lose and held her cheeks with both hands while pressing his lips down.

Meg flushed, flustered—they had done the deed before, but it had not been that long since they had first met either.

And they were in the lobby on top of that!

"Nice!"

Unfortunately for Meg, Sadie Godot and the Golden Lily bouncers just happened to return, and they cheered as soon as they saw that.

And perhaps feeling that it was not enough, Sadie went up to tease Frank. "Oh, Meg! I'm surprised that you're a closet pervert despite always looking so prim and proper. Don't you feel a little skanky, clinging to my mentor like that?"
