The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2219

A goon asked in surprise, "Mr. Jaric, are you saying that Lugh Frankton could break through our trap?"

The others were just as shocked—even divine beings would have trouble freeing themselves from such a trap!

Was Frank really going to prove himself different?

Pax simply scowled in disgust. "Cut the crap and just watch."

Meanwhile, Frank pulled out the crumpled pure gold hairpin out of the wall and returned it to Alda. "Sorry I broke it. I'll buy you a new one when I get out."

Alda quickly shook her head. "You don't have to. It's just… are you sure we can escape with this? Honestly, you shouldn't waste your strength, or you won't be able to enjoy me…"

While Frank smiled in wry amusement, the goons in the control room were fidgeting restlessly in anticipation.

One of them chuckled. "She may be of noble upbringing, and we consider her to be above the rest, but she's just a pervy old man like the rest of us."

On the other hand, Pax was much more understanding than the rest and not particularly unnerved by unusual situations. "Well, since she's realized that they're really going to die, what's dignity or upbringing in that sense? It's the same whether she keeps or abandons it—they aren't surviving this, so why not indulge herself? That's one less regret in death."

Meanwhile, Frank clenched his knuckle just an inch away from the steel wall, closed his eyes, and punched it.

Bang!

A huge dent immediately appeared over the wall while the concrete on the surface peeled off, and the steel wall itself seemed to vibrate.

"What?!"

The goons were stunned—Frank was so strong he could knock off concrete and even had an effect on the steel wall!

"What do you mean 'what'?! It's just science!" Pax snapped, realizing Frank was up to.

"Now, it's no longer the metaphorical cotton that can withstand any impact, and Frank is strong enough to strike a fatal blow on it."

Everyone understood right then.

Even if the steel wall was caving under pressure, it was far from fragile. The only reason Frank had shattered it was because he had strength far greater than anyone else around here, which made it look so fragile.

It had really been one surprise after another with that brat, and come to think of it, Pax had been overestimating himself when he took a hostile stance against Frank.

Meanwhile, as Frank punched the wall again, the wall swung aside under pressure, revealing a passageway.

Alda was certainly overjoyed. "That's amazing, Mr. Frankton! You're so close to the wall, but you punched it away anyway. It goes to show how strong you are!"

Frank smiled, perfectly composed. "It's called a one-inch punch. It'd be weaker if there's more distance."
