The old man's family did not compare to the Ingrams or the Jarics?
And judging from his pulse, the old man was no martial artist but just a little stronger than the average man.
Frank mused if he could be mistaken just then and that Jason's benefactor was not the one he was looking for.
Still, he said, "Step out for a moment. I'll try to save him!"
"Alright, let's go!"
The old man's son promptly beckoned at his friends and family to leave.
Ten minutes later, Frank stepped outside as well and told Tigris to bring some pen and paper, writing down a prescription.
"Just stick to this—remember, three times a day before meals," he told the old man's son. "He'll fully recover in just five days."
"What?!" The old man's son was dumbfounded.
He was hoping that his father would die sooner, but he needed some doctors to declare that his father was beyond saving.
And yet, this half-baked pretty boy did it anyway!
"Are you kidding?" he asked, even as the rest of his family and friends flocked around him.
"Mr. Frankton never jokes around. The old man is definitely alive," Tigris butted in.
"We'll see!"
Everyone charged into the old man's ward and realized that Frank was not lying!
The old man had not regained consciousness, but his vitals—which were failing earlier—were now brimming with vigor!
It was a troublesome illness, but the brat had really managed to treat him!
Frank was bemused. "If it's legal, why aren't you more open about it?"
Jason shrugged with a pained smile. "It's everyone else who keeps saying that my mentor has gone out his way to groom me because I accomplished something for him. I'm the only one who knows that I didn't do anything important."
Frank nodded, puzzled by the situation as well.
A box of bone ashes was somehow the reason Jason's mentor started a company for him, even supporting him financially… it did not make sense at all!
"Are you sure it was bone ashes in the box?" Frank pressed nonetheless.
"Of course!" Jason nodded determinedly. "I'm no angel, but I'd rather not do time, so…"
He trailed off, licking his lips and flashing a pained smile.
