The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2077

Lex shot the manager a glare, clearly thinking nothing of him. "Cut the crap. Are our seats ready?"

Tarik's two thugs were left shocked in turn, as the nightclub was not open to your average Joe—only privileged customers got to step through the front door.

In fact, the manager was said to be a big shot himself during his younger days, and even Tarik had to watch himself around him.

And yet, Lex was so brazenly arrogant with the manager… There was truly always a bigger fish!

"Don't worry, I'd never forget your orders! This way, please!"

After the manager led Lex's entourage to their seats and everyone sat down, Tarik's thug immediately spotted Frank, who was still mobbed by the PR ladies.

Pointing at Frank right then, one exclaimed, "Look, Lex! That's him!"

Lex smirked in turn—Frank did look like he had the stature and potential as a martial artist, and it was completely expected that he could handle a bigger man.

Still, Lex shrugged. "Well, I could help… But business has been stalling lately, so I'm really not feeling the drive!"

Tarik's two thugs promptly understood and called Tarik.

"What the fuck?! Can't a man rest in peace now?!"

Tarik was getting restless from agonizing pain as the painkillers had since faded, and he had no way of venting.

Those two calling him now naturally deserved a scolding!

Nonetheless, the thugs reported, "Wait! We ran into that gigolo from earlier!"

"What?! Where are you right now?!"

"Have you forgotten? We're joining Lex as you'd arranged for…"

"Oh, is that so?" Tarik remembered upon prompting. "Well, what are you waiting for? Lex is a big shot—make that gigolo pay!"

The two thugs hung up and returned to relay Tarik's message.

There was a brief flash of cunningness on Lex's face, but it was soon gone.

He might be in polite society and would not want to start a fight that easily, but principles paled in importance when they were talking about a piece of land in the business district.

"Go! Bring me the manager!" He beckoned at his men.

Soon, the manager arrived, and Lex beckoned for him to lean close while he whispered something to him, his eyes fixed on Frank who was sitting nearby.

At the center of the dance floor, Linda was flailing around crazily, fueled by liquid courage.

A young man made his way through the crowd to reach her just then. "Hey, Linda! Fancy meeting you here!"

Linda stopped and turned to him. "Oh, if it isn't Tigris!"
