The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2073

Linda was not counting on Frank to understand anyway—he could hold his liquor, but he would not know much about drinking games since he did not work in PR.

"Someone brought two decks of cards!"

As Nora soon returned with two decks of playing cards, Linda shuffled them masterfully before saying, "Well, I'll be the dealer for the first round!"

"Sure." Frank shrugged.

Linda quickly distributed three cards to everyone, and seeing that was a third of all the cards, Frank understood why there were two decks.

"One shot, Mr. Frankton. Do you yield?"

Frank picked up his cards: a straight flush to king.

Since it was a good hand, he shook his head. "No!"

Linda could tell from his reaction that his hand was good too and turned toward Nora. "What about you?"

"Three shots!"

Nora was clearly more used to the game than Frank and bluffed convincingly despite having a bad hand.

"Three shots it is!"

"I'm not yielding even with three shots," Nora pressed, her tone clearly challenging. "Showdown?"

"Showdown!"

Linda, however, was a step ahead and already saw through Nora's bluff, not falling for it at all.

"Ugh. You win, Linda."

Nora groaned as she showed her hand and turned to Frank, not forgetting to explain how the rules worked. "See, Mr. Frankton? She called my bluff and had me show her my cards, so that's twice my bet. But if she loses, she just has to drink three.

"Also, if we're taking this seriously, we shouldn't take it shot by shot. Why don't we go with a glass for twelve shots?"

Linda quickly shook her head. "That won't do. It's a good day, so we'll stick with ten!"

Everyone groaned but had no choice but to go with it since Linda was their leader.

"Well, what's your hand?" Nora asked, curious.

Linda showed her hand—it was a straight flush to six. "Wouldn't have gone that far if it was just a straight."

It was disappointing, but she had made her bet!

And despite her high alcohol tolerance, she was starting to get overwhelmed too.

"I'm going to the ladies' room," she said, standing up. "Wait for me to get back."

"Don't puke your guts out now!" Nora teased.

Linda rolled her eyes. "Do you think everyone's a bad drinker like you?"

Still, she was vomiting audibly after she got in the ladies' room.

As she stepped out, rinsing her mouth and face before looking at her flushed cheeks in the mirror, she chuckled bitterly. "I'm surprised that Mr. Frankton is such a good drinker despite his mild looks. Well, I'll make him drunk even if it kills me!"
