After all, the security guards had all been watching—Frank had remained in the same position throughout, not even lifting a finger.
And yet, he somehow managed to stab Yannick in the kneecap with his needle.
The feat left the security guards all gasping.
At the same time, they also realized that they would not even know what hit them if Frank wanted them dead. The split second it took for him to hit Yannick with that needle was also the same amount of time that he needed to launch a needle on their chest or throat.
As such, their threats were no more than child's play to Frank and were of no consequence whatsoever.
"H-How dare you attack a doctor in broad daylight!"
The security team leader snapped nonetheless, even though he was stammering from fear.
Even though they were facing someone as strong as Frank, as the security team of Zamri Hospital, they could not back down.
They had a duty to see through, and they were not some street thugs who backed down upon running into someone stronger.
"Just listen to me."
Frank finally turned, leveling a sharp glare as Yannick sweated buckets. "It doesn't matter what he's accusing me of. Don't listen to him—just send it to the hospital chief, and she will be the judge.
"I've more or less found one of the culprits spreading the toxic gas into the vents. I just can't split my attention long enough to interrogate him right now, when the priority is to release the antidote to protect the patients in this hospital and save its reputation."
As the security guards traded glances and none of them moved, Frank sighed heavily. "Don't worry. I'm not leaving until your chief comes, and I won't hurt any of you."
For some reason, his assurance offered the security guards a sense of assurance.
And realizing that Frank was actually a big deal, the security team leader bowed to him and rushed out of the ventilation hub right then.
Only Frank and Yannick were here, in the enclosed room that was the ventilation hub.
That was why they had to keep both men here, before the hospital chief came and decided what to do with them.
And knowing what the security guards had in mind, Yannick wheeled on Frank with a glare of spite, cursing him a thousand times inside.
Frank's arrival had completely taken him by surprise, and there was only one exit out of the ventilation hub.
That was why he had to try and bluff his way out.
Nonetheless, there was a smirk on his face after he was done cursing Frank—his job here was done anyway.
By now, Carlo Group would be done negotiating their deal—even if he was exposed, that brat of a hospital chief would not dare to do anything to him.
