Parading a suspect on the streets naked?
No respectable police officer would do that!
Vicky on the other hand…
Frank shook his head repeatedly to throw those messy thoughts out of his head—now was not the time for that!
The priority right now was to find evidence and prove Helen's innocence.
At the same time, Frank sensed that a conspiracy was in motion, targeting not just him but Helen too.
And right now, Shellan Group was the only lead he had.
However, before he could head over, he got a call from Winter Lawrence. "Frank… H-Help me!"
Frank was certainly shocked by Winter's cry and promptly asked, "What?! Just calm down, and tell me what happened!"
Winter was coughing while sobbing, "I don't know. We just received a patient, but he was gone the next instant!"
"Gone?!" Frank did a double take.
It was actually not that surprising for a patient to go missing these days. Some simply did not like their assigned doctors or just bailed on treatment halfway because they could not afford the expensive fees charged on them.
But did Winter have to call for help over one missing patient?
"Frank…" She coughed just then. "The patient supposedly got into a car crash and was in critical condition!"
In fact, Winter's vanishing patient was most definitely the victim of Helen's car accident who was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
Somehow, he could still run away despite such extensive injuries and trigger a chemical attack in Zamri Hospital, even tipping off the journalists.
In short, with a single stroke, the enemy had neutralized two of Frank's closest and strongest allies, one being Helen's Lanecorp and Winter's Zamri Hospital.
Frank had been using various resources and his personal touch to strengthen both factions, but their enemy had managed to throw them in a quagmire with relative ease.
They were certainly so cunning that Frank's heart was racing. "Alright, I'll be right there. Just hold on, and send someone to check on the ventilation system!"
"I… got it," Winter replied, still coughing right away.
