Although Frank never had any dealings with the officials of Zamri, he decided that there was nothing wrong with keeping a careful eye on it—he would keep the token and watch how things developed from there.
To be specific, he would be watching out for the Zamri commissioner and see if the latter would move against Lanecorp as the mayor had claimed.
However, he was no child either, as he would not make any judgment lightly and right after he was given a single-sided account.
If anything, he would have to be even more careful if he ended up embroiled in a political drama.

Nonetheless, three days after meeting the Zamri mayor, Frank put that issue aside for the time being as the joint qualifiers between Riverton and Zamri had begun.
He brought his apprentices to a man-made lake sitting on the Riverton-Zamri border, which citizens had since dubbed Central Riverlake.
The place was always crowded with tourists, since it was already a tourist spot with its picturesque landscapes.
And now, it was basically congested after it had been chosen as the venue for the Martial Tournament qualifiers.
The hosts had also constructed a large floating platform at the center that spanned a few hundred yards, affording participants enough space for a free-for-all.
While there was enough space for participants who had cleared the first test, they were all randomly divided into three groups.
Because of that, Scarface, Mona, and Kat were split into different groups. It appeared to be a deliberate move by the Martial Alliance to avoid any unfair cooperation in the free-for-all.
Mr. Zoran, the Zamri Martial Alliance branch manager, rode a boat to the floating platform.
Since he was both a host representative and a judge, he wasted no time as he announced into a microphone, "The Riverton-Zamri joint qualifiers for the Martial Tournaments begins now! The first batch of participants may proceed!"
"Hmph."
Frank, however, was chuckling and shaking his head.
That caught the geezer by surprise, who immediately looked annoyed. "Is that so, kid? Are you taking part too?"
Frank was puzzled by the question, but he soon smiled and shook his head.
"Hmph!"
The geezer snorted in disdain right then. "You're not a participant, and there's not a hint of vigor in you—that means you're just an audience member and no martial artist.
"In that case, you won't be able to tell what makes the young martial artist's airwalk technique so special. So watch your mouth, for this is way above your comprehension!"
Though the geezer was clearly lecturing Frank like he was an ignorant child, Frank did not appear upset and even calmly smiled. "I'll admit that I can't see what makes it special, but I believe that his technique wastes pure vigor in favor of vanity. Also, he'd soon be exhausted, don't you think?"
