The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1886

"What's this…?" Governor Quill stared at the recorder in surprise.

The goon replied, "It's a recording of what Ms. Quill has to say about Frank Lawrence, sir. She has regained consciousness as he claimed, but she is still bedridden—naturally, the recording was also taken with her permission."

"Alba?"

Governor Quill turned toward Alba to confirm what the goon said, and Alba nodded quietly.

Governor Quill nodded and pressed to play the recording. "Then let's hear what she has to say. At least she's safe now…"

The first voice that could be heard was Alba's. "What do you think about Frank Lawrence?"

"Frank Lawrence?!"

Everyone present could tell right away that the second voice was Megan's.

Saul turned toward Frank in disbelief—the brat had really saved Megan from the brink of death?!

Nonetheless, he was soon smirking as Megan's rant continued over the recording, while Frank narrowed his eyes.

"He's a scoundrel! An irresponsible bastard! He took off my clothes while I was unconscious… and ogled at me! He's a pervert, a despicable scumbag!"

Crack!

Governor Quill was glowering as he crushed the recorder in his palm and bellowed with inconsolable rage, "Frank! What do you have to say now?!"

Frank stood in the middle of the crowd, slowly closing his eyes even as he felt the pressure projected on him by his grandfather.

"What, am I wrong?!"

Governor Quill kept yelling until his voice turned raspy. "I'm calling you scum, just like your father! You're only alive because of me! Without my protection, they would have hunted you down already!"

"Hahaha…"

Frank reared his head and laughed, finally having had enough.

Pointing at Governor Quill in seething rage and sadness, he snapped, "Fine! In that case, I'm cutting all ties with you, Governor Quill! My father and myself—scumbags, in your words—will have nothing to do with you, ever!

"I don't owe you or your family anything! And I will never ever set foot in this place again!"
