The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1877

Megan gaped in shock at Frank as he told her everything—to think that someone as despicable as him existed!

Before she could curse him with the vilest expletives, Frank stopped her again with a look of annoyance. "I'm not interested in your body, Ms. Quill. I've seen better, so don't give yourself too much credit…"

He even gave Megan a pointed stare at the parts she did her damndest to cover, and Megan somehow sensed a hint of contempt.

"W-What?!"

She was left at a loss and felt a hint of anger she could not quite understand. "What's that look for? Is he mocking me… No, is he mocking my body figure?!"

"Also…"

Frank spoke again, interrupting her thoughts. "As a healer, it is nothing shameful to see a patient's naked body. I might even say…"

Pausing to breathe a long sigh, he then finished, "If you had listened to me before, this wouldn't have happened at all."

Megan did a double take, only remembering then how Frank had warned her to cup her face and stop hollering.

She refused to listen and was now suffering for it.

Even as her cheeks flushed beet-red, she could not snap at Frank and only felt curiously frustrated.

After all, Frank's cold treatment really hurt her, as it felt like a form of non-verbal diss.

There was no telling how much time passed when Frank spoke again, bringing Megan back to her senses. "So? How much longer are you gonna stay there?"

He was always a big softie, and even as he took Megan's pulse, he tried to speak more mildly.

It was only then that Megan had the time to look around and realized that half of her room had collapsed.

"What happened here?" she asked, turning in confusion towards Frank.

Frank was just inserting some acupoint needles and explained quietly, "Your uncle Saul tried to stop me from curing you, and things got out of hand."

"Uncle Saul?!"

Megan was taken aback by the name. "You're lying! Why would my uncle try to stop you from curing me?"
