The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1869

In fact, Frank could admit that he was caught off guard that a full-fledged Ascendant-ranked elite like Saul would literally stab him in the back.

How despicable… and to think that Saul was his uncle!

Thud.

Even as he clutched his hip, Frank dropped on one knee as he wheeled on Saul, snapping, "Aren't you a martial artist?! Don't you have any honor?!"

"Honor?"

Saul laughed maniacally. "That's worth nothing to me at all! I'll have plenty of that once I become the governor, and you're in my way! I, Saul Quill, am destined to be the next governor!"

Seeing that he had basically snapped, Frank growled through his teeth, "Is becoming the governor that important to you?!"

"Yes!"

Saul bellowed in turn, "And I will do anything to succeed my father!"

"Oh, well…"

Frank breathed a long sigh at that response and suddenly stood up crisply.

"What?!"

Saul was left staring in disbelief as Frank stood up, as if unscathed. "No! That's impossible!"

"I'll admit that you did hurt me, because I didn't expect how despicable you could be."

Frank shrugged, pulling out the dagger from his hip while handily taking an Ichor Pill.

Then, focusing his pure vigor at his fingertips, he pressed around his wound to stop the bleeding.

"I did hurt you…?!"

"W-What are you doing?!" Saul cried out in panic as he watched Frank slowly walk toward him.

With his meridians half gone, he was really afraid that Frank would kill him!

Nonetheless, Frank was not as petty as he thought.

Still, Frank was no saint—he would only stop short of killing Saul because of his grandfather.

Once he reached Saul, he stomped his foot on Saul's leg, breaking it instantly with an audible crunch of bones.

Even as Saul screamed, Frank turned toward Saul's other leg.

Crack!

Even Alba was left gasping in the distance upon hearing another audible crunch of bones.
