He first glanced at Alba as he begged at his feet, and then at the hostile Saul.

Then, he said quietly, "I have no intention to suck up to you or to take over the governor's office. I only returned for the sake of your safety.

"Saul, you will leave now, cuff yourself at the front gates, and await your sentencing there. Everyone else must also clear out—I'll check on the patient before I make a decision."

Everyone in the room was left taken aback, what with the way Frank ordered everyone around like a judge handing out sentences impassively.
