The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1828

Bang!

Assisted by the black flash, Mobius used his hand to parry Frank's lethal strike.

Even so, the monumental force that struck him sent him flying, crashing through a table and coughing blood.

"Huh?"

Frank was surprised as he watched Mobius wipe the blood off his mouth and got to his feet again.

However, he was not surprised by Mobius' skill but by the black flash wherever Frank's hits threatened to land, taking the brunt of the damage.

Frank had never seen such a black flash either, but he soon remembered Yohan Bozad, the name that Silverbell had mentioned.

"Is that godforce?" he murmured, narrowing his eyes.

"Ahem…"

On the other hand, Mobius was wiping the bloody foam from his mouth, a look of trauma showing in his eyes.

Even if the black flash took the brunt of the damage for him, Frank's power was so horrific that he was still hopelessly outmatched. Perhaps one must expect nothing less from a man who had an S-class bounty on his head abroad.

Sneaking a look at the glass wall and getting a flash of inspiration just then, he sheathed his rapier as Frank looked on and slowly raised his hand.

"I surrender, Mr. Lawrence," he said with a look of admiration. "So that's why you have a S-class bounty on your head. I never stood a chance."

Frank was surprised that Mobius was giving up already.

Still, it made sense—just two strikes were enough to hurt Mobius, and he had godforce's protection on top of that.

"Sure you can."

Mobius shrugged. "But you'll have to pay the price for that. Master Bozad and I are connected by godforce, and he'd know who killed me. So hand over everything now if you don't want further trouble."

Crack…

Frank clenched his knuckles.

In reality, he did not want to make yet another legion of enemies—especially when even Silverbell, the chief of the Martial Alliance, was wary of them.

However, it was also a fact that Mobius' pride and glee was written all over his face. Even if he could not beat Frank, he remained fearless, even threatening Frank with his connections.

And that left Frank very frustrated.
