"Oh, but I will keep talking about your mom! Go on, hit me if you can!"
Ms. Quill was endlessly pompous, dead sure that Frank was at a disadvantage, even fearing her family background and not daring to hurt her again.
Why else would Frank release her?
Still, despite Ms. Quill's ignorance, Frank's rage slowly eased into peace.
Having used all his idle time to train, he was not his previous impulsive self.
While he was still livid to hear someone insult his mother, he could at least control himself now.
He then spoke calmly, as if it had nothing to do with him. "Right now, you're breathing an airborne form of poison that carries a type of bug called the brocade mite. Azar Salor there has been charging his pure vigor repeatedly, hastening their hatching in his body.
"So I'd advise you to quit hollering—the louder you are, the more you'd breathe in the poison, and the more mites would infest your body."
Seeing Ms. Quill frown, Frank narrowed his eyes. "By the way, I'm only telling you that because of our grandfather."
"That's bullshit!"
Ms. Quill snapped after some thought—it was creepy to even think that she had parasites inside her!
Frank then held up both hands, revealing the objects in both palms. "Then why don't you think for a moment? For starters, where did you get the ring containing the Celestial Dew and the spiritron vein?"
"What…"
Ms. Quill's face stiffened when she saw Frank holding the spiritron vein and the Celestial Dew in his hands.
She kept both in the back pocket of her shorts but never felt Frank taking both before she noticed.
And clearly, Frank had to reach inside to get both items…
That was why she had attended the three-party auction in the first place and was the one who came knocking on Mobius' door soon after the auction.
What she did not expect was for Titus Lionheart and the chief of Clear Winds Pavilion to show up as well.
They had immediately accused her of stealing and started a fight.
And seeing the look on Ms. Quill's face, Frank did not even need to guess—this entire room was a trap, prepared for Titus, Ms. Quill, and even Frank himself!
They would definitely fight if they came for the spiritron vein and the Celestial Dew, and they would be too busy to notice the poison subtly released into the air.
Even if they found out after they were battered from fighting each other, it would be too late—the poisoner had won!
And it went without saying who had set up this trap either.
After all, this room belonged to Mobius, the foreign businessman!
