"Tch."
Vicky was folding her arms before her chest, pouting unhappily as she watched Frank leave her and head into the hotel alone. "You keep saying one thing but doing another… Hmph!"
Frank naturally heard that but pretended not to hear her and hurried away.
The night passed serenely, and by the next morning, Frank had more or less recovered from pent-up fatigue after recovering for a night.
He examined his body to find that while most of his injuries were healed, there were still lingering conditions, though none of it would affect his combat ability.
However, his phone rang just as he was about to leave and find Vicky.
It was a call from an unfamiliar number, which left Frank perplexed as he did not give anyone other than close acquaintances his number.
Still, he answered and heard a voice speaking broken Draconian, "Hello, Mr. Lawrence."
It was obviously a foreigner, and Frank promptly demanded, "Who are you? How did you get my number?"
"Calm down, Mr. Lawrence. I mean no harm."
The voice then paused before chuckling. "You can call me Mobius, and I got your number from Nux Hamner. I do apologize for imposing."
"Mr. Mobius, I see… And why would you be looking for me?"
Frank's tone was quite rude despite Mobius' refined politeness, because Frank was convinced he had no ties with any foreign parties.
If he had, it would be the bounties on his head.
"Well, my master, Yohan Bozad, has sent me here to Draconia on a business trip."
Frank's interest was actually stoked, as the foreign businessman had a point.
Still, he scoffed. "What if I told you I want the fall of the Lionhearts? How about that? Can your master accomplish that?"
"The Lionhearts?"
Mobius clearly knew about the Lionhearts, and he suddenly sounded conflicted. "I'm sorry, Mr. Lawrence, but Master Bozad is partnered with them, not to mention that we're not even sure if the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom is important enough for us to turn against them. So we must respectfully decline…"
Frank rubbed his chin in turn, inwardly impressed that the Lionhearts had partnered with foreign parties as well.
They really were a handful!
"In that case, there's nothing more to discuss," Frank said quietly. "I will never sell the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom because it is exceedingly valuable. You should just give up already."
