The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1553

"Hahaha…"

Even after Frank explained himself, Ilsa Mendy was laughing loudly from the crowd, even clapping. "Amazing! That's a gigolo for you… how quick he is, crafting a lie out of nowhere!"

While Gina and Helen were left taken aback, a greasy-haired youth strode out of the crowd and snorted at Frank.

He had the look of a successful businessman and scoffed at Frank. "I've seen many gigolos like you. You obviously squandered Ms. Lane's money elsewhere while spending two grand on some cheap suit just to go through the motions."

"Who are you?" Frank frowned at the man.

"Theo Whiteson. I'm the deputy CEO of Pearson Group after graduating with two PhDs."

Theo raised his chin further even as he sneered at Frank. "I've always despised deceitful men like you, and now you've even embarrassed Ms. Lane. Honestly, why are you still here?"

The women around were all looking at Theo worshipfully after he stepped out.

"It's Mr. Whiteson!"

"Yeah, I didn't expect him to show up here!"

"He's the most famous man here in Norsedam. Pearson Group spent over a billion to recruit him!"

"Gosh, just look at how handsome he is… He must have plenty of suitors, right?"

"No, I heard that he's still single at the moment!"

The ladies went wild as the news of Theo being single was spoken out loud, with some bridesmaids even joining the mob.

"Hmph."

While Gina almost snapped on the spot, she instead quietly said, "Helen, why don't you head home with Frank?"

And with that, she turned to leave, refusing to look Frank's way again.

She had already acknowledged him, only for him to humiliate her—how would she hold her head high among her classmates from now on?

If anything, word would spread of her son-in-law's tragic state among her gossiping friends, and she would be made a laughing stock.

The thought certainly infuriated Gina—she would have come alone if she knew this would happen!

"Mom… Mom!"

Caught in the middle, Helen felt frustrated as she watched Gina storm off.
