The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 1190

"Wait, don't pay your respects." Frank waved the Blue Fangs off. "I'm not interested in becoming a gang leader. Just watch yourselves and stay out of trouble."

Then, handily grabbing Ted's mohawk and shaking it, Frank said, "Also, clean up your act. I will make arrangements for everyone to be given a set of uniform—starting today, you are all employees of Lanecorp's health and security department!"

"What?" Ted exclaimed, not quite understanding what was happening.

"What do you mean, 'what'?! Do you have something to say about that?" Frank demanded, glaring pointedly at the thugs.

Most of them were quickly kneeling out of gratitude. The thug life was not at all their dream, since most of them were just scraping by. They simply had the poor fortune of an unfortunate birth, lack of education, and skill.

As such, while some were resistant to the idea of being recruited by a major company, most of them appeared hopeful.

One of them even mustered his courage and asked, "Excuse me, Mr. Lawrence… but do we get paid?"

"Of course—what do you think?" Frank snorted. "You're all covered for everything, there'll be incentives, and your meals are covered. There's maternity leave too, in case you're thinking about having kids!"

The thugs all laughed at his joke, and the vibes were immediately cheerful.

Frank then turned toward Ted. "So? What do you say?"

Terry quickly nodded. "Of course. We'd never stay as the dregs of society if not for lack of education and technical skill. Don't worry—we will listen to everything you say."

Frank was relieved to have Ted's confident assurance. "Terry, was it?"

"No, no, no…" Ted quickly flashed an awkward grin. "Just call me Ted."

Still, while it was dramatic, Helen trusted Frank. He must have had reasons for recruiting them, and having such a large group of security forces for Lanecorp might not necessarily be a bad idea.

"Alright, just get up. I'll make arrangements so that you will get lodgings and a cafeteria…"

Helen shook her head exasperatedly.

There were hundreds of thugs here, and it would cost Lanecorp a lot!

"Hehe. Don't worry—I'll make the arrangements for them." Frank leaned against Helen, winking at her. "And I promised that your investments would soon be rewarded in spades."

"Oh, you…" Helen snickered despite her wry amusement—this man always surprised her.
