Helen was clearly aware of who got her into this trouble.
Just yesterday, when Peter returned, she thought for a moment that unlike Cindy, she could afford to arrange a job for him, only for him to sell her out in the blink of an eye.
"I would have gutted you if you weren't my brother!" Helen bellowed.
Peter could only cringe into himself, hanging his head.
Frank had never seen Helen being that upset, and was about to reach out to comfort her… only for her to throw herself into his arms and bawling, "Why, Frank?! Why is my family like this…?"
"It's alright. I'm here." Frank patted her on the back, carefully comforting her.
"I-I'm sorry, sis. I had no choice…" Peter stammered just then.
"Forget it. I don't need your explanation," Helen snapped, a girlboss as always as she quickly composed herself, wiping away her tears.
Waving Peter away, she sighed. "You can stay in Riverton like Cindy. Don't ever come to Zamri—I don't want to see any of you here."
"But…"
Peter scratched his head as he stammered. "I wasn't lying, sis. Mom did come to Zamri, and she's hurt—"
"What?!"
Helen snapped. "Are you still trying to lie to me, Peter?!"
Helen was taken aback but quickly pressed, "What did you do to Larry?!"
"I killed him!" Peter grinned viciously. "He set me up and kidnapped my sister! It's only right that I killed him!"
"You… You're full of it!"
Helen, however, was on the verge of tears. "Larry's Zomber Group is a family business, and his younger brother just left. If he knew you killed Larry, he would attack Lanecorp, even if it means he goes down swinging!"
"What?! He has a brother?!" Peter was dumbstruck.
He thought he was safe after he killed Larry… But it turned out that Larry had a brother!
