“Master, the Eldest Miss has been gone for a few days already. Why isn’t she back yet? Where has she gone to?”
At the Lagorio family, the butler could not help but ask Trenton.
“No matter where she goes, it’s a good thing so long as she’s enjoying herself. I hope that she’ll be in a better mood when she returns this time!”
Trenton gave a bitter smile. “I hope that everybody has been training hard lately?” he spoke to the butler. “There are only a few days left till the meeting at the Cabello family’s place. But even if we don’t have a meeting, we’d be heading into the Seven Dangers anyway. That’s why if we can increase our fighting power, we should. After all, those are dangerous places. Some monsters are probably as strong as fighters at the advanced stage of the true god realm, or even the peak of the true god realm!”
Here, Trenton paused for a while before continuing, “After all, even I might not survive if I go in!”
“Don’t worry. Everybody is training hard. However, those that go in must at least be in the semi-god realm. Otherwise, they’re going to die!”
The butler, Hilton Lagorio, nodded his head and spoke.
At this moment, the two noticed that a flying carpet was gradually heading toward them in the distance.
“Master, see! It’s the Eldest Miss and the Eighth Elder. They’re back!”
The butler immediately cried out, pointing at them.
Soon, the flying carpet was before them, and the two jumped down from it.
“You–what were you thinking, Daughter. How could you tell this to the Four Ancient Clans? This is the chance for us reclusive families to turn the tables on them. Do you think we can actually get benefits by doing this?”
Trenton slapped his thigh, furious. His voice was trembling, “I’d rather throw away all these martial resources than tell the Four Ancient Clans about this. Besides, everybody agreed to not breathe a word about this to the Four Ancient Clans. Once the other reclusive families find out that we leaked this information, they will hate us. Then, our relationships with all the reclusive families will be severed!”
“Dad, you’re thinking too much!”
Lily gave a cold smile. “We’re only a second-class family. Did you really think that we’d get plenty of rewards if we did not speak a word about it to outsiders? Even if there are rewards, the eight first-class families would get the lion’s share of it, no? No one knows how we can break into the ultimate god status. What if it’s some kind of magical fruit, and there are only eight of its kind in the world? Do you think the first-class families will give us a portion?”
Here, Lily paused, lacing her fingers behind her back. “Not only will we obtain nothing, but the gap between us and the Woods family will only grow wider. That’s why there’s hardly any difference for us if we tell the Four Ancient Clans about this!”
