Selena took in Fane’s demeanor and spoke in a solemn tone instead, “If that’s the case, you have to take responsibility for bullying a fine young lady like that while you were drunk. If you don’t take responsibility, I’ll be embarrassed by you!”

“Don’t worry, dear. I’ve had a good impression of her since the beginning, and she’s a fine woman. Since this has happened, I’ll definitely treat her well!”

Fane tightened his grip on Selena, then he ducked his head and kissed her.

After they kissed for a while, a passion sparked within Fane.

Helena eyed Daniella for a while, poking her skull with a forefinger. The former rolled her eyes. “What’s the rush? We’ve only just started being a fake couple. It’ll be embarrassing if we were to announce that we’ve broken up now. Second Young Master Hunt may be dead, but if Master Hunt finds out that Fane and I had separated so soon, he’d definitely suspect that we were fooling his son. He might hate us even more then!”

Helena then paused for a while before continuing, “I think we should wait it out for a while more, at least until everybody has forgotten about it. Then we’ll make the announcement!”
